ACTREC Ad-hoc Consultant (Anaesthesia) Recruitment 2026

The Advanced Centre for Treatment Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), the research and education wing of the Tata Memorial Centre under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has announced a walk-in/Zoom interview for the post of Ad-hoc Consultant (Anaesthesia). The position is based at the Department of Anaesthesia, Critical Care & Pain at ACTREC's campus in Sector-22, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. This is an ad-hoc (contract) appointment for 6 months, extendable based on the Centre's requirement. ACTREC is a premier cancer research and treatment institution — this is an excellent opportunity for experienced anaesthesiologists to work in a high-calibre academic hospital environment.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• MD or DNB in Anaesthesia (or an equivalent postgraduate degree in Anaesthesiology) recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC)

Essential Experience

• Minimum 3 years of post-MD/DNB experience in Anaesthesia at a Teaching Hospital

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years (as on advertisement date — 08 April 2026)

Salary

• Consolidated salary of Rs. 1,40,000 per month
• Final amount depends on your work experience
• This is an ad-hoc/contract position — consolidated pay (no separate grade pay or allowances)

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through a direct walk-in or Zoom interview:

3. Document Verification: Bring originals and copies of all required documents on the day of the interview

• Provide anaesthesia care for surgical, oncology, and critical care patients at ACTREC
• Manage patients in the Critical Care Unit, including post-operative and high-dependency cases
• Conduct pre-anaesthesia assessments and develop anaesthesia plans for complex cancer surgeries
• Handle pain management consultations for acute and chronic pain in oncology patients
• Assist in ICU management, including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Participate in academic activities including teaching and clinical training of junior medical staff
• Maintain accurate clinical records, anaesthesia charts, and procedural documentation
• Follow hospital infection control, patient safety protocols, and ACTREC clinical guidelines
