Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), Chennai, has released Advertisement No. 02/2026 for engagement of 13 contractual research and administrative personnel across 8 different positions. The posts cover Siddha medicine research, machine learning/data science, scientific publication, Tamil/Hindi linguistics, pharmacovigilance, botany, and administrative consultancy. Selection is through Personal Interview only (a written test may be held on the same day if needed). Engagement is initially for one year, extendable up to 2-3 years based on performance.

Who Can Apply?

Research Associate (Siddha) — Rs. 58,000 + HRA

• Postgraduate degree in Siddha Medicine from a University/Institution recognised under NCISM
• Enrolment in the Central/State Register of Indian Medicine/Siddha

Research Associate (Machine Learning/Data Science) — Rs. 58,000 + HRA

• M.Tech / M.Sc / MCA / M.E or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or allied disciplines
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, SQL Server, Postgres, Oracle
• Minimum 1 year experience in data science, machine learning, or AI (preferably medical/life-science data)

Senior Research Fellow (Publication) — Rs. 42,000 + HRA

• M.Sc in Life Science from a recognised University
• Minimum 2 years working experience in scientific article processing or online journal management
• Working knowledge of MS Office and good command of English

Senior Research Fellow (Tamil/Hindi) — Rs. 42,000 + HRA

• Postgraduate degree in Tamil or Hindi from a recognised University/Institution

Junior Research Fellow (Pharmacovigilance) — Rs. 37,000 + HRA

• Graduate degree in Siddha Medicine from a University/Institution recognised under NCISM (erstwhile CCIM)
• Enrolment in the Central/State Register of Indian Medicine/Siddha

Junior Research Fellow (Botany) — Rs. 37,000 + HRA

• Postgraduate Degree in Botany OR Graduate/PG in Professional Course selected through CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship) and GATE

Consultant (Admin) — Fixed remuneration (basic pay minus pension) + Transport Allowance

• Graduate from a recognised University
• Retired Section Officer / Under Secretary / Deputy Secretary equivalent from Government of India, State Governments, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies
• 5-10 years experience in Establishment, Administration, Vigilance, Court Cases, or Budget & Accounts
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Age Limit

• Research Associate (Siddha & ML/Data Science): Maximum 40 years as on 22 May 2026
• Senior Research Fellow (Publication, Tamil, Hindi): Maximum 35 years as on 22 May 2026
• Junior Research Fellow (Pharmacovigilance & Botany): Maximum 28 years as on 22 May 2026
• Consultant (Admin): Should not be more than 64 years on the last date
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per Government of India rules

Salary

• Research Associate (Siddha & ML): Rs. 58,000 per month + HRA as admissible (consolidated)
• Senior Research Fellow (Publication, Tamil, Hindi): Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA as admissible (consolidated)
• Junior Research Fellow (Pharmacovigilance, Botany): Rs. 37,000 per month + HRA as admissible (consolidated)
• Consultant (Admin): Fixed monthly remuneration arrived by deducting basic pension from pay drawn at retirement, plus a fixed Transport Allowance

Selection Process (No Written Exam by Default)

Selection will be done in stages:

1. Application Screening: Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on prescribed qualifications and experience.
2. Personal Interview: The interview date will be intimated by email to eligible candidates and through the CCRS website.
3. Written Test (if required): If applications are high, a written test may be held on the same day to shortlist candidates for the interview.
4. Document Verification: Original documents must be produced before the Personal Interview.

The decision of the Competent Authority will be final in the selection process.

1. Download the relevant Annexure (Annexure I to VII) for your post from ccrs.ayush.gov.in.
2. Fill the application form in running hand and sign every page (unsigned applications will be rejected).
3. Attach self-attested photocopies of educational certificates, age proof (10th/12th certificate), enrolment certificate, community certificate (if claiming age relaxation), and experience certificates.
4. If applying for multiple posts, send separate applications for each position. Superscribe the post name on the envelope.

• Manage online and offline journal operations, communicate with authors, and assist editorial teams (SRF Publication)
• Coordinate pharmacovigilance data collection and analysis for Siddha drugs (JRF Pharmacovigilance)
• Conduct botanical surveys and identify medicinal plants used in Siddha system (JRF Botany)
• Handle administration, establishment, vigilance, court cases, and budget/accounts matters (Consultant Admin)
• Prepare scientific reports, articles, and project documentation
