CSIR-NEERI Senior Project Associate Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI), Nagpur, is looking for a Senior Project Associate (Senior PAT) under the project "Studies on Condition Assessment & Management Plan for Godavari River Basin under National River Conservation Plan (GAP-2922)". This is a purely temporary, project-based role co-terminus with the project duration. Selection is through an online interview via MS Teams or Skype — no written exam. The position is tenable at CSIR-NEERI Nagpur or its Zonal centres.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: M.Sc. in Environment Science from a recognised university.
• Experience: You need at least 3 years of experience in Research and Development in Industrial or Academic Institutions, or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
• Note: Experience is counted from the date of acquiring the minimum educational qualification. Dissertation or Thesis work during academic study does not count as experience. Time spent acquiring a higher qualification is also not counted as experience over the essential qualification.
• Result Awaited: Candidates with result awaited, final semester appeared, or Ph.D. submitted status are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 40 years (calculated as on the last date of application: 22 April 2026)
• Age relaxation may apply as per CSIR rules for reserved category candidates.

Salary

• Monthly emoluments: Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA
• HRA is admissible as per applicable government rules. Project staff need to make their own accommodation arrangements.
• This is a project-based engagement — no TA/DA is paid for appearing in the online interview.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through a single-stage online interview:

1. Online Interview: Conducted via MS Teams, Skype, or a similar platform. Shortlisted candidates will be notified through the official CSIR-NEERI website at www.neeri.res.in.
2. Document Verification: Selected candidates must complete pre-appointment formalities including medical examination, character verification, etc., within the timeframe mentioned in the offer letter.

Note: If a large number of applications are received, a Screening Committee may shortlist candidates before the interview. Meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee an interview call.
