ICMR NIIRNCD Recruitment 2026 -- 4 Posts

The Indian Council of Medical Research - National Institute for Implementation Research on Non-Communicable Diseases (ICMR-NIIRNCD), Jodhpur, has invited applications for walk-in interview / written test for project human resource positions. These are temporary project-based positions under the Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. If you have a background in public health, life sciences, or social work, this is a great chance to work on important NCD and trauma care research projects.

Vacancy Breakdown

1. Field Supervisor -- 3 Posts

• Project: Pilot the Comprehensive Screening for all NCDs through Point of Care Tests (POCT) under NP-NCD in Phalodi district, Rajasthan
• Category-wise: UR - 1, EWS - 1, ST - 1
• Salary: Rs. 40,000/- per month (consolidated)
• Tenure: Up to 30 June 2026 (can be terminated earlier)
• Place of work: ICMR-NIIRNCD Jodhpur, Phalodi, Jaipur, or anywhere in Rajasthan

2. Project Technical Support - III (PTS-III) -- 1 Post

• Project: Implementation Research on Enhancing Trauma Care at Health and Wellness Centres
• Category-wise: OBC - 1
• Salary: Rs. 28,000/- + HRA per month (fixed, no other allowances)
• Tenure: Initially 4 months (can be terminated earlier)
• Place of work: ICMR-NIIRNCD Jodhpur or anywhere in India

Who Can Apply?

Field Supervisor

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health / Nursing / Life Sciences / Social Work / Allied Health Sciences with 2 years' experience in community-based health projects (preferably NCD or surveillance studies)
• OR Postgraduate degree in Public Health / Nursing / Life Sciences / Social Work / Allied Health Sciences (no experience needed)
• You should be familiar with field data collection using digital tools
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are needed
• You must be willing to travel extensively in field areas

Project Technical Support - III

• Graduate degree in Public Health / Epidemiology / Biostatistics / Statistics / Life Sciences / Health Sciences / Social Work with 3 years' post-qualification experience
• OR Postgraduate degree in Public Health / Epidemiology / Biostatistics / Statistics / Life Sciences / Health Sciences / Social Work (no experience needed)
• Desirable: Experience in Public Health / Implementation Research with publications in peer-reviewed journals

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years as on the date of walk-in interview (6 April 2026)
• SC/ST relaxation: As per Central Government / DoPT / ICMR norms
• OBC relaxation: As per Central Government / DoPT / ICMR norms
• Ex-servicemen: Age relaxation as per government instructions
• Age concession for experience in other ICMR research projects is also available
• Note: SC/ST/OBC candidates get age relaxation only for reserved-category posts, not for unreserved posts

Salary

• Field Supervisor: Rs. 40,000/- per month (consolidated -- all inclusive)
• Project Technical Support-III: Rs. 28,000/- + HRA per month (fixed, no other allowances)
• These are project-specific rates and may change based on funding agency approval
• No PF, LTC, or medical benefits are provided (temporary positions)

Selection Process

1. Document Verification: Submit your application form with photocopies of all certificates. Bring all originals for verification -- without originals, your candidature will not be considered
2. Written Test (conditional): If more than 30 candidates appear, a written test will be conducted. Qualifying marks: SC/ST: 35%, UR/OBC/EWS: 40%
3. Interview: Top 5 candidates from the written test (or all eligible candidates if less than 30 appear) will be interviewed
4. Skill Test: Wherever applicable, candidates must also qualify a skill test

The final merit list will be based on marks from the written test and interview combined. If no written test is held, merit is based on interview marks alone.

3. Carry all original certificates (from SSC onwards), category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS if applicable), experience certificates, Aadhaar card, PwBD certificate (if applicable), and passport-size photographs
4. If you are currently employed, bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your present employer/PI -- without it you will not be allowed to appear for the interview
5. Walk in at ICMR-NIIRNCD, Jodhpur on 6 April 2026 between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM

• Work closely with health workers, community volunteers, and local health authorities
