Who Can Apply?
Assistant Registrar (Pay Level 10)
- Qualification: Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or UGC Grade B equivalent) from a recognised university
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with 3 years in Pay Level 7 or 6 years in Pay Level 6 in a Government/Semi-Government/recognised university or industry (with proof of salary)
Junior Superintendent (Pay Level 6)
- Master's degree with at least 55% marks + 3 years relevant experience, OR
- Bachelor's degree + 5 years relevant experience
Junior Assistant (Pay Level 3)
- Bachelor's degree with at least 55% marks from a recognised university
- Computer typing in English/Hindi and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint preferred
Technical Officer (Pay Level 10)
- M.Tech/M.E. in relevant discipline (55% marks) + 5 years relevant experience (3 years in PL-7 or 5 years in PL-6), OR
- B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc Engineering (4 years) or Master's in relevant discipline + 7 years relevant experience
Assistant Executive Engineer (Pay Level 10)
- M.Tech/M.E. in Electrical Engineering (55% marks) + 5 years relevant experience, OR
- B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering + 7 years relevant experience
Medical Officer (Pay Level 10)
- MBBS from an IMC-recognised university (with Compulsory Rotary Internship), at least 55% marks
- Minimum 3 years working experience after MBBS in a reputed hospital with at least 20 beds
- Medical Officer must reside on the IIT Bhilai campus.
Junior Technical Superintendent (Pay Level 6)
- M.Tech/M.E. in relevant discipline + 1 year experience, OR
- B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc Engineering or Master's in relevant discipline + 3 years experience, OR
- 3-year Diploma/Bachelor's in relevant discipline + 6 years experience
Junior Sports Officer (Pay Level 6)
- M.P.Ed./Master's in Physical Education or Sports Sciences (55% marks) + 3 years experience, OR
- B.P.Ed./Bachelor's in Physical Education + 5 years experience
Junior Technical Assistant (Pay Level 3)
- B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc Engineering (4 years) or Master's in relevant discipline (55% marks), OR
- 3-year Diploma in Engineering (after 10+2) or Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline + 3 years experience
Junior Mechanic (Pay Level 3)
- B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc Engineering (4 years) in relevant discipline, OR
- 3-year Diploma in Engineering (after 10+2) + 3 years experience

Age Limit
- Group A posts (AR, TO, AEE, MO): Maximum 40 years
- Group B posts (JS, JTS, JSO): Maximum 35 years
- Group C posts (JA, JTA, JM): Maximum 30 years

Salary
- Pay Level 10 (Group A — AR, TO, AEE, MO): Entry pay Rs. 56,100 per month
- Pay Level 6 (Group B — JS, JTS, JSO): Entry pay Rs. 35,400 per month
- Pay Level 3 (Group C — JA, JTA, JM): Entry pay Rs. 21,700 per month
- Plus Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) and Transport Allowance (TA) as admissible to Central Government employees
- Additional benefits: Reimbursement of Medical Expenses, Children Education Allowance, Leave Travel Concession (LTC) and on-campus accommodation (if available)
- Selected staff will be covered under the National Pension System (NPS)

Selection Process
Selection is through screening followed by tests/interview:
- Application Screening: Only applicants with better qualifications and relevant experience will be shortlisted.
- Written Test / Skill Test / Trade Test: Wherever required, a written test will be held to shortlist candidates. Practical or trade tests may also be conducted.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the written/skill test will be called for interview.
- Document Verification: Original documents must be produced at the test/interview stage.
For Group A posts only, second AC rail fare is reimbursed for the interview. Group B and C candidates are not reimbursed for screening tests. Call letters will be sent only by email.

- Handle administrative, technical, or support functions in the assigned section of IIT Bhilai
- Maintain office records, files, and correspondence in physical and digital form
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory or workshop equipment as per the post discipline
- Assist faculty, scientists, and senior officers in academic, research, and project activities
- Prepare reports, draft letters, and process files within the prescribed timelines
- Follow institute rules, financial regulations, and standard operating procedures
- Support recruitment, examination, and student-related activities when assigned
- Stay on probation for the prescribed period and continue under the Institute's Recruitment & Promotion Policy
