Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa) Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026 - 4 Posts

The Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa), established by an Act of Parliament in 2016 as an Institute of National Importance, has released Advertisement IITGoa/RECT/2026/03 for filling 4 non-teaching posts on regular basis. The vacancies cover Technical Superintendent (Electrical), Technical Superintendent (Computer Science/Electronics/IT), and Administrative Assistant. Selection is through a written test, computer-based test, trade test or any other mode deemed fit by the Institute. Engineering diploma holders, B.Tech graduates and any-stream graduates can all apply.

Vacancy Breakdown

• Technical Superintendent (Electrical): 1 post (OBC-NCL) — Pay Level 6, Group B
• Technical Superintendent: 1 post (EWS) — Pay Level 6, Group B
• Administrative Assistant: 2 posts (UR) — Pay Level 4, Group C

Total: 4 posts. The Institute reserves the right to fill consequential vacancies arising at the time of selection.

Who Can Apply?

Technical Superintendent (Electrical) — 1 Post

• 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Communications with at least 60% marks + 6 years post-diploma experience, OR
• B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Communications with at least 60% marks + 3 years post-degree experience
• For applicants with a full-time Master's Degree in the relevant field, the normal duration of the Master's program counts towards experience (max 2 years)

Technical Superintendent — 1 Post

• 3-year Diploma in Computer Science / Electronics & Communication / Information Technology with at least 60% marks + 6 years post-diploma experience, OR
• Bachelor Degree (other than B.Tech/BE) in Computer Science / Electronics & Communication / IT with at least 60% marks + 5 years post-degree experience, OR
• B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science / Electronics & Communication / IT with at least 60% marks + 3 years post-degree experience

Administrative Assistant — 2 Posts

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA

Age Limit

• Technical Superintendent (Electrical): Maximum 34 years
• Technical Superintendent: Maximum 34 years
• Administrative Assistant: Maximum 27 years
• Eligibility is calculated as on the last date of application (29 May 2026)
• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India norms for reserved category candidates, but only if the post is reserved for that category
• PwBD candidates: Up to a maximum of 56 years of age
• Ex-servicemen: Age relaxation as per rules
• Non-regular/contract staff of IIT Goa: Up to 57 years if they have served the Institute for at least 5 years

Salary

• Technical Superintendent (Electrical) and Technical Superintendent: Pay Level 6 (7th CPC) — basic pay Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month
• Administrative Assistant: Pay Level 4 (7th CPC) — basic pay Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month
• You will also get DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, NPS contribution, Medical facility, Leave Travel Concession and Children Education Allowance as per Government of India and Institute rules
• All posts carry a probation period of 1 year

Application Fee

• Group B posts (Technical Superintendent / Electrical): Rs. 300
• Group C posts (Administrative Assistant): Rs. 200
• PwBD candidates and Female applicants: No fee
• Fee is non-refundable

Selection Process

Selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Written Test / Computer-Based Test: As per recruitment rules for Pay Level 6 (Group B) and Pay Level 4 (Group C). May also include a trade test or any other mode of test, as deemed fit by the Institute.
2. Document Verification: Only shortlisted candidates with all documents in proper format will be called.
3. Medical Examination: The selected applicant must be medically fit as per Institute requirements.

If the number of applications is large, IIT Goa may set additional shortlisting criteria based on academic performance, level/area/years of experience, or any other criterion deemed fit.

TA for Outstation SC/ST/PwD: Sleeper class train fare (to-and-fro, shortest route) for the written test on production of tickets and category certificate.

How to Apply

1. Go to the IIT Goa application portal at iitgoant.samarth.edu.in.
2. Register and create your login on the Samarth portal.
3. Fill in the online application form with personal, educational and experience details.
4. Upload your photograph, signature, qualification certificates, experience certificates (on letterhead with date, period, salary, signature, stamp) and category certificate (if applicable).
5. Pay the application fee online (Rs. 300 for Group B, Rs. 200 for Group C). PwBD and female candidates are exempt.
6. Submit the application before 11:59 PM on 29 May 2026 and take a printout for your records.

There is no need to send a hard copy of the application. Applications without uploaded photographs or documentary evidence will be summarily rejected.

NOC requirement: Persons employed in Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous Bodies / PSU must apply through proper channel and submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) with vigilance clearance, either with the application or at the time of final selection.

• Assist faculty and students with technical setup for teaching and research activities

• Prepare reports, work orders and laboratory documentation as required
• Manage office files, correspondence and data entry on government software systems (for Administrative Assistant)
