National Health Mission (NHM) under the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (formerly Aurangabad Municipal Corporation), Maharashtra, has released a notification for filling up 3 Lab Technician posts on a contract basis under the NUHM scheme. Selection is purely merit-based with no written exam. Posts are reserved across NTB-1, NTC-1 and SBC-1 categories.

All 3 vacancies are reserved category posts under Maharashtra government rules.

Who Can Apply?

• Educational Qualification: You must have passed 12th class and have a DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology) from a recognised university.
• Council Registration: You must have a valid Council Registration with Renewal.
• Domicile: Reservation applies as per Maharashtra government rules. Reserved category candidates must submit their caste certificate.
• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 60 years
• Candidates above 60 years must submit a physical fitness certificate from a District Surgeon
• You should not have any criminal record or disciplinary action against you

Salary

• You will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 17,000 per month.
• The post is on a contract basis until 29 June 2026, with the position automatically ending if budget approval is not received in 2025-26.
• Note: This is purely a contractual post under NHM and not a regular state government post.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on:

1. Merit Evaluation: Based on academic marks (final mark sheet percentage). Grades must be converted to percentages by the issuing institution.
2. Document Verification: Original certificates verified at the time of selection.
3. Bond Agreement: Selected candidates must submit a Rs. 100 bond paper agreement and join within 7 days of receiving the appointment order.

Note: Any attempt to influence the selection committee will lead to disqualification. The Commissioner reserves all rights regarding vacancy changes and selection decisions.

• Conduct laboratory tests on patient samples under National Urban Health Mission (NUHM)
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in urban primary health centres
• Collect and process blood, urine and other biological samples following standard protocols
• Maintain accurate records of test results and laboratory reports
• Follow biosafety, infection control and quality assurance guidelines
• Assist medical officers with diagnostic services for NUHM beneficiaries
• Calibrate, clean and store reagents and laboratory consumables
• Submit daily and monthly reports to the Medical Health Officer of the Municipal Corporation
