NIT Kurukshetra, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is looking for accomplished professionals, serving and retired scientists, engineers, academicians, civil servants (IAS/IPS), policymakers and industry experts to join as Adjunct Professor or Adjunct Fellow. If you are among the top experts in your field, this is your chance to teach and mentor at one of India's premier NITs.

Who Can Apply?

• Must be an accomplished professional in your field, comparable to at least the top one-third of regular faculty in expertise and reputation.
• Your association must add value to academic programs, students and the department.
• At least 10 years of experience in the relevant field is desirable.
• For emerging/cutting-edge technologies, candidates with 5+ years of experience can also apply.
• If you are from industry/R&D, a Postgraduate/Ph.D. degree is not essential — domain expertise matters more.
• Eligible backgrounds: Reputed industries, Central/State PSUs, R&D organizations, academic institutions, civil servants (IAS/IPS), statutory body officials, and overseas academic/research organizations with interest in Indian issues.

Salary (Honorarium)

• Adjunct Professor: Up to Rs. 1,80,000/month, or Rs. 8,000/day, or Rs. 2,000/hour.
• Adjunct Fellow: Up to Rs. 1,20,000/month, or Rs. 6,000/day, or Rs. 1,500/hour.

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting — based on qualifications, experience and merit. Criteria may be higher than advertised.
2. Presentation & Interview — before the Selection Committee at your own cost, on a date notified separately.
3. Document Verification — all originals must be produced at interview.
4. Medical Examination — must be found physically fit by the Institute medical board before joining.
