OF Bhandara Technician Apprentice Recruitment 2026 — 50 Posts

Ordnance Factory Bhandara (OF Bhandara), a unit of Munitions India Limited (MIL) under the Ministry of Defence, is inviting applications for 50 Diploma Technician Apprentice positions across four engineering trades. This apprenticeship training runs for one year under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The training will take place at the factory premises in Bhandara, Maharashtra. Diploma holders from anywhere in India who completed their course in regular (full-time) mode can apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics) from a State Council, Board of Technical Education, or a recognized University/Institution.
• Mode: Only candidates who completed their Diploma through regular (full-time) mode are eligible. Sandwich course students are not eligible unless approved by Regional Central Apprenticeship Advisers.
• Diploma Completion Window: You must have completed your Diploma on or after 15 April 2021. The gap between your result date and training start date should not exceed 5 years.
• Not Eligible: Candidates who hold a Graduate or Post-Graduate degree are not eligible. Also, anyone who has already undergone or is currently undergoing apprenticeship training elsewhere cannot apply.
• Previous Experience: Diploma holders who had training or job experience of one year or more after attaining their qualification are not eligible under the Apprentices Act.

Age Limit

• Minimum age is 14 years as on 15 April 2026.
• There is no upper age limit for this apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act.
• Candidates between 14 to 18 years are not eligible to sign the apprenticeship contract themselves — their guardians must sign on their behalf.

Stipend

• Selected apprentices will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 10,900 during the one-year training period.
• Accommodation may be provided on payment basis, subject to availability.
• Apprentices are entitled for medical treatment at OF Bhandara as per OFMR rules.
• Note: On completion of training, employment in the factory is not guaranteed.

Application Fee

• There is no application fee mentioned in the notification. You only need to send your application form with documents by post.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based purely on merit. There is no written test or interview.

1. Merit List: A merit list will be prepared based on marks you scored in the Final Year Examination of Diploma (aggregate of all years). If you have CGPA/SGPA grades, you must attach conversion documents from your college.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of all original documents and certificates.
3. Medical Examination: You will need to pass a medical fitness test.
4. Police Verification: A police verification report will also be required before final engagement.

2. Fill in the prescribed application form carefully with all required details.
3. Attach self-attested copies of all required documents (diploma marksheet, Aadhaar, age proof, caste certificate if applicable, PwBD certificate if applicable, and declaration/affidavit).
4. Write "Application for Technician Apprenticeship Training at O.F. Bhandara" on top of the envelope.

6. Make sure your application reaches the factory on or before 11 April 2026. Late applications will not be accepted.
