Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna category Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, is hiring professionals for its Pune CMRL (Chennai Metro Rail Limited) Project. All 5 positions are at the Deputy Manager (E-IV) grade, covering distinct roles in project management, cyber security, procurement, quality assurance, and occupational health & safety. This is a fixed-term engagement for 5 years, extendable based on project needs and performance. Deputy Project Manager (DM01):
- Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication with 60% marks from a recognised university
- Approved Branches: Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Communication, Telecommunication Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 10 years total post-qualification industrial experience, including 7 years in relevant fields like project coordination, hardware sizing, telecom system works in Railway/Metro/LRT
- Note: Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering are NOT considered relevant
Cyber Security Expert (DM02):
- Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Computer Science / IT with 60% marks
- Approved Branches: Computer Science, IT, Computer Science & Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 10 years total post-qualification experience, including 5 years in information security and cyber protection
- Preferred: CCISO / CISSP certification
Procurement Manager (DM03):
- Qualification: BE/B.Tech in any engineering discipline with 60% marks
- Experience: Minimum 10 years total, including 5 years in procurement, contract administration, purchase of telecom systems in Railway/Metro/LRT
- Preferred: CSQP, PMP or equivalent certification
QA Manager (DM04):
- Qualification: BE/B.Tech in any engineering discipline with 50% marks
- Experience: Minimum 10 years total, including 5 years in quality assurance of telecom system works in Railway/Metro/LRT
- Preferred: Certified CSSGB, CMQ, ISO 9001 auditor or equivalent
OHSE Manager (DM05):
- Qualification: BE/B.Tech in any engineering discipline with 50% marks
- Experience: Minimum 10 years total, including 5 years as Safety Officer/In-Charge in Railway/Metro/LRT
- Preferred: Certification related to OHSE
Important: Academic, teaching, or research work experience will NOT count as relevant industrial experience. Degrees must be from a university recognised under the UGC Act, 1956.
Age Limit
- Maximum age: 40 years as on 01 March 2026 (for UR category)
- OBC (NCL): 3 years relaxation (up to 43 years)
- SC/ST: 5 years relaxation (up to 45 years)
Salary
- Pay Scale: Rs. 60,000-3%-1,80,000 per month
- In addition to Basic Pay, you will receive Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, 35% of Basic Pay as Perquisites, Performance Related Pay (PRP)
- Other benefits include Group Insurance, Medical Facilities, and Provident Fund as per BEL rules

Selection Process
The selection will be done in 2 stages:
- Written Test: Objective-type questions for 85 marks from Technical Domain and General Aptitude. Qualifying marks: 35% for UR/OBC(NCL)/EWS, 30% for SC/ST. Candidates who qualify the written test will be shortlisted for interview at a ratio of 1:7 in each category.
- Personal Interview: Only candidates shortlisted from the written test will be called. Outstation candidates get AC Chair Car / III Tier AC train fare reimbursement for interview attendance.

Responsibilities
- Handle project coordination, hardware sizing, solution proposals, and overall project quality management
- Manage cyber security planning, implementation, and monitoring of information security systems for the project
- Oversee procurement activities including contract administration, vendor interaction, and purchase order processing
- Prepare and verify quality assurance documentation, work schedules, and project quality reports
- Monitor safety activities at construction areas and ensure safety compliance across all project subsystems
- Provide leadership and coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and counterparts on project progress
- Prepare and validate safety plans, hazard logs, and safety case documentation for the CMRL project
- Work with metro rail telecom systems including design, installation, testing, integration, and commissioning

Exam Pattern

Shortlisting Ratio: Candidates who qualify the written test will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:7 in each category, based on order of merit.
