Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna PSU under India's Defence Electronics sector, has announced recruitment for 10 Member (Research Staff) positions in E-III Grade at its Central Research Laboratories located in Bengaluru and Ghaziabad. This recruitment covers 6 high-tech disciplines including Artificial Intelligence, Communication, Cyber Security, Robotics and Autonomous Systems, Aerospace, and Quantum Technology. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a PhD degree from a recognised university or college in one of the six disciplines listed above. The university must be established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, or recognised under UGC Act, 1956.
• Experience: You must have a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification industrial experience (as on 31 December 2025). Only relevant industrial experience matching the technical domains in Table-1 of the notification will be counted.
• What does NOT count as experience: Teaching, academic, or research work is not considered industrial experience. Experience in banking, financial institutions, NGOs, and internship placements that are part of your academic curriculum will not be counted either. Trainee or fixed-tenure engagements in BEL or other PSUs are also excluded.
• Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.
• Internal candidates: Current BEL employees are not eligible for this recruitment.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 37 years for General category (as on 01 January 2026).
• OBC (NCL): 3 years relaxation (up to 40 years)
• SC / ST: 5 years relaxation (up to 42 years)
• PwBD: 10 years relaxation over and above the category. Relaxation as per government guidelines.

Salary

• You will be placed in E-III Grade with a pay scale of Rs. 50,000 - 3% - Rs. 1,60,000 per month.
• At the time of joining, you will receive 5 advance increments and 2 years of seniority added at entry level.
• In addition to basic pay, you will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Performance Related Pay (PRP) at 35% of basic pay.
• Other benefits include Medical Reimbursement, Provident Fund, Gratuity, Superannuation Pension, and Group Insurance as per BEL company rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 main stages:

1. Written Test: All eligible candidates will be called for a written exam. The exact date and time will be communicated by email. Bring a printout of the email and a valid Government ID proof on the day of the test.
2. Interview: Based on written test scores, candidates will be shortlisted for interview in a 1:7 ratio (7 candidates per vacancy) in order of merit and category. The shortlist will be published on the BEL website.

2. Pay the application fee of Rs. 750 through SBI Collect (go to www.onlinesbi.com, select State Bank Collect, choose All India, then PSU - Bharat Electronics Limited, and select Central Research Laboratory Ghaziabad payment category).
3. Enter the SBI Collect Reference Number in the application form after making the payment.
4. Fill in the application form completely with all correct details.
5. Attach self-attested photocopies of all required documents.
6. Write "Application for the post of Member (Research Staff) in E-III Grade" on the envelope.
7. Send the completed application by post to: Deputy General Manager (HR&A/CRL), Bharat Electronics Limited, Site IV, Industrial Area, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad 201010 (UP).
8. Your application must reach the Central Research Laboratory, Ghaziabad by 02 April 2026.
