BHEL Part Time Medical Consultant Recruitment 2026 - 8 Posts

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Heavy Power Equipment Plant (HPEP), Ramachandrapuram, Hyderabad has invited applications from medical professionals for 8 Part Time Medical Consultant positions across four categories: Super Specialists (Oncology and Cardiology), Specialists (Radiology), and MBBS doctors. There is no written exam — selection is purely through personal interview. This is a great opportunity for experienced doctors, including retired medical professionals, to work part-time with one of India's top Maharatna PSUs.

Who Can Apply?

For Super Specialist Posts (PTMC01 & PTMC02 - Oncology & Cardiology):

• Qualification: DM or DNB Super Specialty degree, or any other equivalent degree recognized by NMC (National Medical Commission)
• Registration: Must be registered with Medical Council of India or State Medical Council

For Specialist Post (PTMC03 - Radiology):

• Qualification: MD/DMRD/DNB or DNB-Diploma in Radiodiagnosis
• Registration: Must be registered with Medical Council of India or State Medical Council

For MBBS Posts (PTMC04):

• Qualification: MBBS degree recognized by NMC
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of post-internship experience
• Registration: Must be registered with Medical Council of India or State Medical Council

House Surgeon (internship) period will not count as work experience.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 65 years as on 01 March 2026
• Age Relaxation: Relaxable up to 70 years on approval of Competent Authority

Salary

• DM (Super Specialty): Rs. 1,000 per hour
• MD/DNB: Rs. 800 per hour
• PG Diploma/DMRD/DNB-Diploma: Rs. 650 per hour
• MBBS (with 1 year experience): Rs. 500 per hour
• Conveyance Allowance: Up to Rs. 4,500/month (within 30 km one-way) or Rs. 6,000/month (beyond 30 km)
• Payment will be made against submission of invoice as an independent professional

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written examination for this recruitment. Selection will happen through:

1. Shortlisting: Based on the applications received by the deadline
2. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. The date, time, and venue will be communicated separately
3. Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must produce a medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner at the time of joining

No TA/DA will be paid to candidates attending the interview.

• Provide medical consultation and patient care at the BHEL HPEP Dispensary in Hyderabad
• Examine patients, diagnose conditions, and prescribe appropriate treatment plans
• Perform specialty consultations in Oncology, Cardiology, or Radiology as per assigned discipline
• Maintain proper medical records of patients and treatment given
• Follow the duty schedule and roster decided by the Medical Superintendent
• Conduct diagnostic procedures and interpret reports within your area of expertise
• Coordinate with other medical staff and specialists for comprehensive patient care
