Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), through its B.Y.L. Nair Ch. Hospital, has invited applications for 21 contractual positions under the Early Intervention & Rehabilitation Centre for Children (EIRCC), Advt. No. EIRCC/871. This recruitment covers 14 different post categories including medical specialists, therapists, special educators, nursing staff, data entry operators, and support staff. All positions are on a purely contractual basis for a period running up to 31 March 2028. The posting location is at Ozone Bizz Centre, Nagapada, Mumbai Central.

Who Can Apply?

For Assistant Professor Posts (Rs 1,10,000/month):

• Ophthalmology: You need a postgraduate degree (MCI recognised) with specialisation in Paediatric Ophthalmology with experience in strabismus. Must be registered with Maharashtra Medical Council.
• Audiology & Speech Therapy: You need a recognised ASLP postgraduate degree or RCI registered equivalent. Must be registered with Maharashtra Medical Council.

For Therapist & Psychologist Posts (Rs 45,000-55,000/month):

• Assistant Physiotherapist: You need a recognised degree in Physiotherapy from an MCI-recognised university with postgraduate-level training in Neuro-Paediatrics. Minimum 3 years experience and a Bachelor's in Physiotherapy required.
• Assistant Occupational Therapist: You need a recognised postgraduate degree in Developmental Occupational Therapy (M.OTH) or equivalent. Minimum 3 years experience in developmental disability preferred.
• Audiologist & Speech Therapist Gr-I: You need a recognised ASLP postgraduate degree or RCI-registered equivalent with Grade-1 Audiologist and Speech Therapist status.
• Audiologist & Speech Therapist Gr-II: You need a recognised ASLP degree or RCI-registered equivalent with Grade-2 status and 2 Audiologists and Speech Therapist qualification.
• Junior Occupational Therapist: You need a B.OTH degree in Occupational Therapy with minimum 2 years experience in developmental disability.
• Counselling Psychologist: You need an M.A. or M.Phil. (Counselling/Psychology) with UGC-recognised postgraduate degree. RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) registration required. Minimum 1 year experience working with children.

For Special Teachers (Rs 32,000-40,000/month):

• Special Teacher-I: You need Spl.M.Ed.In (ID/ASD/LD) with 1 year experience or Spl.B.Ed. with (ID/ASD/LD) with 5 years experience.
• Special Teacher-II: You need Spl.B.Ed.In (ID/ASD/LD) with 1 year experience or Spl.D.Ed. with (ID/ASD/LD) with 3 years experience.

For Nurse (Rs 30,000/month):

• You need a GNM (General Nursing Midwifery) degree or equivalent. Must be registered with Maharashtra Nursing Council. Experience in paediatrics, rehabilitation, or autism-related work with children preferred.

For Dental Technician (Rs 25,000/month):

• You need a Diploma in Dental Mechanics or equivalent. You should know how to create dental prosthetics, make dental moulds, and handle related equipment.

For Data Entry Operator (Rs 18,000/month):

• You need to have passed your SSC (10th) exam along with HSC (12th).
• You must score at least 100 marks in Marathi subject (higher or lower level) in SSC or equivalent.
• You need a Graduate degree in Commerce/Science/Arts/Law or equivalent.
• You must have a typing certificate proving a speed of at least 30 WPM in both English and Marathi.
• MS-CIT or equivalent government-approved computer course certificate is required.

For Peon (Rs 15,000/month):

• You need to have passed your 10th standard exam.
• You must score at least 100 marks in Marathi subject (higher or lower level) in SSC or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Marathi and Hindi is mandatory.

All posts require computer knowledge certificate (DOE, ACC, CCC or O/A/B/C level or MSCIT or GEIT equivalent) from a recognised institute.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 38 years old.
• Age relaxation for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/NT/DT) as per Maharashtra Government rules.

Salary

• Assistant Professor posts: Rs 1,10,000 per month (consolidated)
• Therapist posts: Rs 45,000 to Rs 55,000 per month (consolidated)
• Counselling Psychologist: Rs 50,000 per month (consolidated)
• Special Teacher-I: Rs 40,000 per month (consolidated)
• Special Teacher-II: Rs 32,000 per month (consolidated)
• Nurse: Rs 30,000 per month (consolidated)
• Dental Technician: Rs 25,000 per month (consolidated)
• Data Entry Operator: Rs 18,000 per month (consolidated)
• Peon: Rs 15,000 per month (consolidated)
• No DA, HRA or other allowances will be paid for contractual positions.

Application Fee

• All Categories: Rs 933 (Rs 790 + 18% GST Rs 143)
• This fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
• Fee payment period: 25 March 2026 to 07 April 2026.
• Application fee receipt must be attached with the application form.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done through interview only:

1. Shortlisting: A merit list will be prepared based on your educational qualifications and interview marks.
2. Interview: You will be informed about the interview date and venue via the email address provided in your application, at least 2 days in advance.
3. Final Selection: A selection list will be posted on the notice board of B.Y.L. Nair Dharma Hospital.
4. Document Verification: You must appear in person for document verification at the time of the interview.

Note: Police character and antecedent verification certificate is mandatory for selected candidates before appointment.

How to Apply

3. Attach a passport-size self-attested photograph on the form.

• Keep proper records of all official correspondence, files, and documents at the EIRCC centre
• Assist senior medical and therapy staff with administrative tasks and appointment scheduling
• Manage office supplies, maintain inventory of centre equipment, and coordinate with hospital departments
• Work on preparing reports, maintaining databases, and generating MIS reports as required
• Follow all hospital rules, attendance protocols, and safety guidelines during duty hours
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and order in the EIRCC office and common areas (for support staff)
• Prepare and dispatch official letters, memos, and communications as directed by supervisors
