Who Can Apply?

For Professor (Academic Level-14):

• You need a Ph.D. in the relevant subject with published work of high quality
• Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience in a university or research institution
• At least 10 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals
• A total research score of 120 as per UGC Regulations 2018 (Appendix II, Table 2)

For Associate Professor (Academic Level-13A):

• Ph.D. in the relevant subject
• Master's degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade)
• Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience
• At least 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals
• A total research score of 75 as per UGC Regulations 2018

For Assistant Professor (Academic Level-10):

• Master's degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned subject
• Must have cleared NET/SLET/SET conducted by UGC/CSIR, or hold a Ph.D. degree as per UGC regulations
• As per UGC Amendment Regulations 2021, Ph.D. is not mandatory for Assistant Professor positions
• A 5% relaxation in marks is available for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/PwBD candidates

Specific qualification requirements for Disaster Management, Law, Computer Engineering & Robotics, and Kashmir Studies are detailed in Annexures 1-4 of the notification.

Age Limit

• There is no specific age limit mentioned in this notification for teaching positions.
• Age relaxation is available as per Government of India rules for reserved categories.

Salary

• Professor: Academic Level-14, salary of Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200 per month
• Associate Professor: Academic Level-13A, salary of Rs. 1,31,400 to Rs. 2,17,100 per month
• Assistant Professor: Academic Level-10, salary of Rs. 57,700 to Rs. 1,82,400 per month
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Central Government rules
• Leave vacancy appointees will be paid fixed monthly remuneration as per Clause 13 of UGC Regulations 2018

• UR / OBC (NCL) / EWS: Rs. 1,750 (Rs. 250 processing fee + Rs. 1,500 examination fee)
• SC / ST / PwD / Women (all categories): Rs. 1,500 (Processing fee exempted, Rs. 1,500 examination fee only)

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Academic/Research Score Evaluation: Your eligibility will be assessed based on your Academic/Research Score as per Appendix II Table 2 of UGC Regulations 2018. This includes your academic qualifications, teaching experience, research publications, and other scholarly contributions.
2. Shortlisting: For Assistant Professor positions, a maximum of 30 candidates per vacancy will be shortlisted for interview based on their combined academic and research scores. For each additional vacancy in the same discipline and category, 15 more candidates are added.
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates appear before a Selection Committee. The final selection is based on your performance in the interview.
4. Document Verification: Original certificates are required at the time of interview.
