DDeGS AI Trainer & Research Assistant Recruitment 2026 – 3 Posts

The Administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (UT), through the Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu e-Governance Society (DDeGS), has announced recruitment under the IndiaAI Mission of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The AI-CoE Data Lab has been set up at Polytechnic College, Daman to promote AI-based research, capacity building, and governance solutions. This is a purely contractual engagement for 11 months, extendable based on performance for up to 3 years. Zero application fee applies for all posts.

Who Can Apply?

For AI Trainer (2 posts):

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech./MCA/M.Sc. in AI, Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline with minimum 60% marks as per AICTE/UGC norms.
• Desirable: M.Tech. in the above branches or equivalent, and cleared GATE/NET.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science training, teaching, or industry.

For Research (Lab) Assistant (1 post):

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech./MCA/M.Sc. in AI, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, IT, or a related discipline with minimum 60% marks as per AICTE/UGC norms.
• Experience: Preferably 1–2 years in AI/ML projects, research, or data analytics. Internship or project work during studies will also be considered.

Salary

• AI Trainer: Rs. 49,250 per month (Consolidated)
• Research (Lab) Assistant: Rs. 18,250 per month (Consolidated)
• Note: This is a fixed consolidated pay with no additional government allowances. The engagement is purely contractual.

Application Fee

• All candidates: No fee — Zero fees are applicable for all positions.

Selection Process

Selection will be done in the following stages by a Selection Committee constituted by the Secretary/Director/Member Secretary DDeGS:

1. Application Shortlisting: Applications will be screened based on eligibility criteria.
2. Computer Based Test (CBT) or Walk-in Interview: Shortlisted candidates will appear for a CBT or walk-in interview, tentatively on 07 May 2026. Technical evaluation/presentation may also be required.
3. Document Verification: Candidates qualifying in the CBT/walk-in interview must produce supporting original documents for all positions.
4. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks in the personal interview stage to be considered further.

A final post-wise and discipline-wise merit list will be prepared based on combined performance across all applicable stages.

• Teach AI-related courses including Data Annotation, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and related topics at the AI-CoE Data Lab
• Participate in AI-related IT projects and research activities under the IndiaAI Mission
• Support lab sessions and assist students or trainees during hands-on AI/ML practical work
• Prepare course material, datasets, and training content relevant to AI governance solutions
• Assist in developing AI-based solutions for government service delivery and digital governance
• Maintain lab equipment, software tools, and data resources used for AI research and training
• Report to and carry out work assigned by the Secretary IT, Director IT, or Member Secretary DDeGS
