DLSA Morigaon Driver Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Morigaon, under the office of the District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, has released an advertisement for 1 Driver post on a purely contractual basis. The post is for the Unreserved (UR) category. This is an offline application — applications must be dropped in a drop box at the DLSA Morigaon office. Selection will be done through a skill test followed by a viva-voce.

Who Can Apply?

• Educational Qualification: You must have passed Class VIII. Candidates who have passed HSSLC (Class XII) or above are NOT eligible for this post.
• Driving Licence: You must hold a valid driving licence for LMV / four-wheeler vehicle for at least 2 years.
• Citizenship: You must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
• Government Employees: If you are currently serving in a Government Department, you must apply through proper channel.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old as on 01 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC / ST candidates: 5 years (up to 45 years)
  • OBC / MOBC candidates: 3 years (up to 43 years)
• A copy of the reservation category certificate from the competent authority must be submitted with the application.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 15,000 per month.
• The post is purely temporary on a contractual basis and can be terminated at any time.

Selection Process

Selection will be done in two stages:

1. Skill Test: A driving skill test will be conducted to check your ability to drive an LMV / four-wheeler vehicle.
2. Viva-voce (Interview): Shortlisted candidates from the skill test will appear for a viva-voce. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.

The list of eligible candidates and interview dates will be uploaded on the official website of Morigaon District Judiciary at morigaon.dcourts.gov.in. No separate call letters will be sent.

How to Apply

1. Download the Standard Form as published in the Assam Gazette in Part IX.
2. Fill in the form and attach self-attested copies of these documents:
   • Educational qualification certificates
   • Age proof
   • Caste certificate (for reservation)
   • Experience certificate (if any)
   • Employment Exchange Registration Card
   • Valid LMV driving licence copy
   • 3 recent passport-size photographs (signed on the reverse)
3. Address the application to: The District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Morigaon, Judicial Court Morigaon, PIN-782105, Assam.
4. Drop the completed application in the drop box labelled "DROP BOX OF APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF DRIVER (Contractual basis)" kept at the DLSA Morigaon office.
5. The drop box is available between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM on working days from 06 May 2026 to 20 May 2026.
6. Applications sent by post, email, or any other mode will be rejected.

• Drive the office LMV / four-wheeler vehicle safely and as per the duty roster
• Maintain the vehicle in good running condition with regular cleaning and basic upkeep
• Keep a daily log of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Follow all traffic rules and ensure safe driving for officials and staff
• Report any vehicle defects or accidents to the office immediately
• Get the vehicle serviced and repaired at authorised workshops when required
• Carry valid documents (licence, RC, insurance, PUC) at all times while on duty
