Who Can Apply?

For Under-Graduate Internship (Category a):

• Qualification: You must be in your final year of B.E. / B.Tech (7th or 8th semester) in the relevant discipline from a recognised Indian university or institute.
• Academic Requirement: Minimum 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA (on a scale of 10).

For Post-Graduate Internship (Category b):

• Qualification: You must be in your final year of M.Sc. / M.Tech (3rd or 4th semester) in the relevant discipline from a recognised Indian university or institute.
• Academic Requirement: Minimum 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA (on a scale of 10).

• Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply. Students studying outside India are not eligible.
• Permission: Your college Director or Principal must provide a permission letter recommending you as a meritorious student.
• GATE/NET Scorecard: If you have a GATE or NET score in the same discipline, attach it with your application (not mandatory but adds value).

Age Limit

• You must be below 28 years of age.

Stipend

• Selected interns will receive a stipend of Rs. 5,000 per month.
• The stipend is paid in two instalments - the first after completing 3 months and the second after completing the full 6 months.
• Payment will be transferred directly to your bank account.
• If you leave before completing 3 months, no stipend will be paid.

Application Fee

• No application fee is required for this internship.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on academic merit. There is no written exam for this internship.

1. Academic Merit Screening: Your aggregate percentage or CGPA will be evaluated. You need at least 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA to be considered.
2. Interaction (if required): INMAS may conduct an interaction via video conferencing or telephone. Your performance in this interaction will be considered for final selection.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be notified about joining procedures via email.

No TA/DA will be paid for joining. Selection is entirely on merit basis.

2. Fill in the application form completely with your personal and academic details.
3. Prepare a single PDF containing: filled application form, all previous marksheets, permission letter from your college, brief biodata (under 300 words), filled undertaking form, and GATE/NET scorecard (if applicable).
4. Email the complete PDF to research-academic@gov.in with the subject line: 'Application for Paid Internship - Post Code: [XXX] - [Discipline Name]'.
5. Also fill out the mandatory Google Form at the link provided in the notification.
6. Keep copies of all submitted documents for future reference.

• Work on assigned defence research projects under the guidance of INMAS scientists
• Conduct laboratory experiments and data analysis in your area of specialization
• Prepare progress reports after 3 months and a final project report after 6 months
• Follow all safety protocols and lab-specific rules applicable within DRDO laboratories
• Maintain confidentiality of all research data and comply with the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923
• Record daily attendance through biometric or Aadhaar-based systems as per lab norms
• Assist senior researchers with ongoing studies in radiation countermeasures and cognitive sciences
