Engineers India Limited (EIL) Management Trainee Recruitment 2026 - 59 Posts

Engineers India Limited (EIL), a Navratna Public Sector Company under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, is hiring fresh engineering graduates as Management Trainees through GATE 2026. EIL has been delivering world-class engineering consultancy services for over five decades in refineries, petrochemicals, pipelines, offshore, metallurgy, and infrastructure projects across India and 17 countries worldwide. There is no application fee for this recruitment. If you are a recent B.E./B.Tech graduate with a valid GATE 2026 score in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering, this is your chance to join one of India's most respected PSUs.

Vacancy Breakdown by Discipline

There are two categories of Management Trainees: MT (Construction) and MT (Others). You can apply for only one category. Here is the discipline-wise vacancy split:

• Mechanical Engineering: 24 posts
• Civil Engineering: 21 posts
• Chemical Engineering: 7 posts
• Electrical Engineering: 7 posts

Note: The number of vacancies is tentative and may change at EIL's discretion.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a full-time B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 65% marks.
• Year of Passing: You must have passed out in 2025 or 2026. Candidates who graduated in 2024 or earlier are not eligible.
• GATE Requirement: You must have a valid GATE 2026 score in the corresponding paper for your discipline (CH for Chemical, ME for Mechanical, CE for Civil, EE for Electrical).
• Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.
• Final Year Students: If you are appearing in your final year exams between April and June 2026 and have not received your result yet, you can still apply using marks up to your last declared result. However, you must have the required minimum 65% marks until that point.

Age Limit

• General / EWS: Maximum 25 years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Maximum 28 years
• SC / ST: Maximum 30 years
• PwD (General): Maximum 35 years
• PwD (OBC-NCL): Maximum 38 years
• PwD (SC/ST): Maximum 40 years
• Age will be calculated as on 01 July 2026.

Salary

• During Training (1 year): Stipend of Rs. 60,000 per month plus accommodation and transport. If accommodation is not provided, you will get Rs. 60,000 + Rs. 15,000 per month.
• After Absorption (as Engineer): Pay scale of Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1,80,000 per month (E-1 Grade).
• CTC on Absorption: Approximately Rs. 19.25 to 20.31 Lakhs per annum (including superannuation benefit and performance-related pay).
• You will also receive location-based benefits and other allowances applicable at project sites. Transportation facility and transit accommodation will be provided at site locations.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 3 stages:

1. GATE 2026 Score Shortlisting: EIL will shortlist candidates based on their GATE 2026 score in the relevant engineering discipline. Simply qualifying GATE is not enough — only candidates with sufficiently high scores will be called for the next round.
2. Group Discussion (GD): Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Group Discussion at Delhi.
3. Personal Interview: Candidates who clear the GD will face a Personal Interview. Final selection will be based on your overall performance across all stages.

Note: Shortlisted candidates eligible for interview will receive III AC Sleeper Rail Fare (to and fro) by the shortest route from their mailing address to the interview centre.

How to Apply

2. Navigate to the "Recruitment of Management Trainees" section.
3. Select the post you want to apply for: MT-Construction or MT-Others (you can choose only one).
4. Click "New Registration Details" and fill in the online form with your personal, educational, and GATE details.
5. Upload scanned copies of your photograph (max 75 KB, JPG/JPEG), signature (max 25 KB, JPG/JPEG), and category certificates if applicable (max 500 KB each).
6. If your university provides CGPA instead of percentage, upload a percentage conversion certificate from your institute (max 500 KB).
7. Submit the form. Note down your Registration Number — you will need it for all future correspondence.
8. Take a printout of your application and keep it safe. You will need to present it at the time of interview.

• Work on engineering design, detailed engineering, and project management for oil & gas, refinery, and infrastructure projects
• Assist senior engineers in preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Handle quality surveillance, inspection, and testing activities at project sites
• Manage contract administration and coordinate with vendors and contractors
• Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Participate in construction management activities including HSE and warehouse management for site-based roles
• Prepare cost estimates, procurement documents, and technical evaluations for assigned projects
