Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) has released notification for 84 medical posts including Tutor/Demonstrator, Dietician, and Insurance Medical Officer across 19 specialities. Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) has released Advertisement No. 3A Year 2026 for 84 posts under the Public Health Department and Labour Department of the Government of Goa. The recruitment covers 82 Tutor/Demonstrator positions at Goa Medical College across 19 medical specialities, 1 Dietician post under the Directorate of Health Services, and 1 Insurance Medical Officer in the ESI Scheme under the Labour Department. Who Can Apply?

For Tutor/Demonstrator Posts (Level 10):

  • Essential: A recognised medical qualification (MBBS) included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
  • If your qualification is listed in Part II of the Third Schedule, you must also meet the conditions under Section 13(3) of the IMC Act, 1956
  • Language: Knowledge of Konkani is required

Desirable: Post-graduate degree or equivalent in the relevant speciality from a National Medical Commission (formerly MCI) recognised college. Knowledge of Marathi is also desirable.

For Dietician Post (Level 6):

  • Essential: Degree in Home Science from a recognised university or equivalent
  • Language: Knowledge of Konkani is required

Desirable: Diploma in Dietetics, Post-Graduate Diploma or Degree in Nutrition, experience as Dietician in a hospital, and knowledge of Marathi.

For Insurance Medical Officer (Level 10):

  • Essential: MBBS from a recognised institution (as per IMC Act 1956) plus completion of compulsory rotating internship
  • Language: Knowledge of Konkani is required

Desirable: Experience in general medical practice and knowledge of Marathi.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 45 years for all posts
  • Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen as per Goa Government rules

Salary

  • Tutor/Demonstrator and Insurance Medical Officer: Pay Matrix Level 10 — Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month (entry pay Rs. 56,100)
  • Dietician: Pay Matrix Level 6 — Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month (entry pay Rs. 35,400)
  • You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Goa Government rules

Selection Process

Selection is through interview. Here is how it works:

  1. Shortlisting: If the number of applications is large, the Commission will shortlist candidates for interview as per the criteria in their Instructions
  2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview conducted by the Goa Public Service Commission
  3. Document Verification: Original certificates and documents will be verified during the selection process

Note: Simply meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee an interview call. The Commission may shortlist based on additional criteria.

  • Assist in teaching and training undergraduate medical students in the assigned speciality
  • Prepare teaching materials, lab demonstrations, and practical sessions for medical courses
  • Conduct clinical rounds and bedside teaching under the guidance of senior faculty
  • Handle patient care duties in the hospital wards and outpatient departments
  • Maintain proper records of patient histories, lab results, and clinical findings
  • Work in shifts as required, including emergency and on-call duties
  • Participate in research activities, case presentations, and academic seminars
  • Follow hospital protocols, infection control guidelines, and medical ethics standards

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

MBBS / Degree in Home Science from a recognised university

Preferred Qualification

Post-graduate degree in the relevant speciality from a NMC recognised institution. Knowledge of Marathi.
