KSFDC Guard Recruitment 2026 — 1 Post

Kerala State Film Development Corporation Limited, established in 1975, is a Government of Kerala undertaking that supports the Malayalam film industry. KSFDC operates the famous Chithranjali Studio in Thiruvananthapuram, manages a chain of 10 theatres across Kerala, and produces documentary films for the state government. This Guard post is being filled through direct recruitment from Ex-Servicemen (SC only) via Kerala PSC.

Who Can Apply?

Education

• Pass in Standard VII (Class 7) or equivalent

Experience

• Not less than 3 years of service in the Armed Forces — Army, Navy, or Air Force

Other Requirements

• Knowledge of Cycling is mandatory
• Only Ex-Servicemen belonging to the Scheduled Caste of Kerala state can apply
• Applications from candidates belonging to other communities will be summarily rejected without any rejection memo

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 50 years
• Only SC candidates born between 02 January 1976 and 01 January 2005 (both dates included) can apply
• Age relaxation is available as per Para 2(i) of the General Conditions
• Provisional hands working in KSFDC get age relaxation up to 5 years from the upper age limit, based on their provisional service period
• In no case shall the maximum upper age limit exceed 50 years

Salary

• Pay Scale: Rs 16,500 – 35,700 per month
• Revised Pay Scale (as per Kerala Pay Revision): Rs 23,000 – 50,200 per month
• In addition to basic pay, you will get DA (Dearness Allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance), and other allowances as per Kerala government rules

Physical Standards

• Height: 168 cm (minimum)
• Chest (Normal): 81 cm
• Chest (Expanded): 86 cm

Selection Process

1. Written/OMR/Online Test — If conducted, you must submit a confirmation through your One Time Registration profile. Admission tickets will be available 15 days before the exam
2. Document Verification — Original documents proving qualification, experience, age, and community must be produced when called for
3. Certificate Verification — Community Certificate, SSLC book, and other relevant documents will be verified

Note: The selection process is subject to the rules and regulations of Kerala PSC. If a written test is not conducted, selection may be on merit basis.

• Guard and protect the premises, studios, theatres, and property of KSFDC
• Conduct regular patrolling and surveillance rounds within the assigned area
• Monitor entry and exit of staff, visitors, and vehicles at KSFDC facilities
• Maintain a log of daily security activities, incidents, and visitor records
• Report any suspicious activities, security breaches, or safety hazards to superiors
• Handle emergency situations such as fire, theft, or unauthorized entry
• Assist in crowd management during film shoots, events, and film festivals
