Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, is hiring specialist doctors for its Industrial Health Center in Bangalore. HAL is one of the largest aerospace and defence companies in South East Asia, with 20 Production/Overhaul/Service Divisions and 11 co-located R&D Centres across India. Two specialist doctor positions are available — one for ENT and one for Orthopaedics. Who Can Apply?

For Senior Medical Officer (ENT):

• Option 1: MBBS with MS or DNB in ENT — no post-qualification experience needed
• Option 2: MBBS with DLO (Diploma in Laryngology and Otology) — 1 year of post-qualification experience required

For Senior Medical Officer (Ortho):

• Option 1: MBBS with MS or DNB in Orthopaedics — no post-qualification experience needed
• Option 2: MBBS with D'Ortho (Diploma in Orthopaedics) — 1 year of post-qualification experience required

Your qualification must be from a recognized institution and registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI). Only regular/full-time qualifications are accepted — part-time, correspondence, or distance education degrees are not eligible.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years as on 01 March 2026
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
• J&K Domicile (01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989): 5 years relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation as per company rules
• PwBD: Maximum overall age after relaxation should not exceed 56 years
• Others: Maximum overall age after relaxation should not exceed 55 years

Salary

• Pay Scale (Grade III): Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,60,000 per month
• Perks and allowances: 35% of Basic Pay under the Cafeteria System
• Additional benefits include Variable Dearness Allowance, Rent-Free Accommodation or HRA, Provident Fund, Gratuity, Performance Related Pay (PRP), and Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA)
• Doctors must stay in Company Accommodation when provided. HRA is only given when company accommodation is not available.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on relevant experience and MBBS aggregate marks. The shortlisting ratio is 1:10 (10 candidates called for every 1 vacancy).
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. Date, time, and venue will be shared via email, HAL website, or post.

Provisionally selected candidates will also need to pass a pre-employment medical examination at HAL before joining.

2. Fill in the application form neatly — typed or handwritten on A-4 size paper.
3. Pay the application fee of Rs. 500 through NEFT/IMPS (if applicable) and note the transaction reference number.
4. Attach self-attested photocopies of all required documents — qualification certificates, age proof, experience certificates, caste certificate (if applicable), disability certificate (if applicable), and a recent passport-size photograph.

• Manage and operate the ENT/Orthopaedics department at HAL's Industrial Health Center independently
• Perform regular surgeries and procedures relevant to the specialization (ENT surgeries including micro-ear, FESS, micro-laryngeal for ENT; fracture management, POP applications, minor and major surgeries for Ortho)
• Conduct clinical examinations and diagnose conditions for HAL employees and their dependents
• Handle OPD, ward rounds, and emergency cases as per duty rosters
• Interpret diagnostic reports including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI for orthopaedic conditions
• Manage on-call duties and provide emergency medical care when required
• Maintain proper medical records and prepare reports as per company standards
