The ICAR-Central Tuber Crops Research Institute, one of the premier research institutes under ICAR (Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare), conducts research exclusively on tropical tuber crops. The Regional Station at Dumuduma Housing Board, Bhubaneswar, Odisha is recruiting 1 Skilled Project Assistant for the NABARD-sponsored CCF-ID project titled "Climate Resilient Agri-food Systems: Integrating Biofortified Sweet Potato for Sustainable Livelihoods in Mayurbhanj District of Odisha". This is a great opportunity if you have a background in horticulture or agriculture and want to work on a meaningful research project.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• +2 Vocational / VHSC in Horticulture or Agriculture

Desirable Experience

• At least 5 years of work experience in tuber crops technologies
• Experience in handling analytical instruments
• Experience in processing and analysis of soils and plant samples for chemical properties
• Experience in outreach programmes

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India rules

Salary

• 1st year: Rs 18,000/- per month (Fixed)
• 2nd year: Rs 19,000/- per month (Fixed)
• 3rd year: Rs 20,000/- per month (Fixed)

This is a consolidated salary with no additional allowances. The position is purely temporary for a period of 3 years or co-terminus of the project, whichever is earlier.

Selection Process

1. Written Test - Conducted from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on 20 April 2026
2. Interview - Held from 11:00 AM onwards on the same day
