ICAR-National Bureau of Soil Survey and Land Use Planning Multi-Post Recruitment 2026 - 12 Posts

ICAR-National Bureau of Soil Survey and Land Use Planning (ICAR-NBSSLUP), Nagpur has invited applications for engaging 12 candidates on contract basis across seven different positions under two research projects. The PoCRA Project posts are for one year and D3 Project posts are for two years (or till project termination). Selection is purely through walk-in interview — no written exam, no online application. Both freshers and experienced candidates with relevant qualifications can attend.

A. Under PoCRA Project (1 year duration):

• Remote Sensing and GIS Consultant: 2 posts — Rs. 40,000/month
• Lab Associate: 2 posts — Rs. 35,000/month

B. Under D3 Project (2 years duration):

• Domain Experts: 3 posts — Rs. 50,000/month
• Project Consultant: 1 post — Rs. 65,000/month
• Project Associate: 1 post — Rs. 42,000/month
• Field Assistant: 2 posts — Rs. 30,000/month
• Technical Assistant: 1 post — Rs. 30,000/month

Who Can Apply?

For Remote Sensing and GIS Consultant (Rs. 40,000):

• Qualification: Master's degree in Geo-informatics or RS&GIS
• Experience: More than 2 years in Geospatial Analysis, RS/GIS

For Lab Associate (Rs. 35,000):

• Qualification: Master's Degree in Soil Science, Microbiology, or Biochemistry
• Experience: More than 2 years in the relevant area

For Domain Experts (Rs. 50,000):

• Qualification: M.Sc, M.Tech, or Ph.D in Data Science (AI & ML), Agricultural Engineering, Geo-Informatics, RS and GIS
• Experience: More than 3 years of experience

For Project Consultant (Rs. 65,000):

• Qualification: M.Sc, M.Tech or Ph.D (Agricultural Engineering) with specialization in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering, Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, Soil Science, or RS&GIS
• Experience: More than 2 years for M.Sc/M.Tech holders, plus experience in Crop Simulation Modelling or Hydrological Modelling (evident from publications)
• Posting: Different project sites across Maharashtra

For Project Associate (Rs. 42,000):

• Qualification: M.Sc (Agriculture) with specialization in Agronomy or Soil Science
• Experience: 2 years of work experience

For Field Assistant (Rs. 30,000):

• Qualification: B.Sc (Agriculture) or B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering)

For Technical Assistant (Rs. 30,000):

• Qualification: B.Sc, B.E., or B.Tech in Engineering with drone operator licence
• Skills: IoT deployment, maintenance and drone operations

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 40 years old as on the date of interview (20 May 2026).
• Age relaxation is given as per government rules for SC, ST and OBC candidates.

Salary

Monthly consolidated pay depends on the post:

• Project Consultant: Rs. 65,000 per month
• Domain Experts: Rs. 50,000 per month
• Project Associate: Rs. 42,000 per month
• Remote Sensing and GIS Consultant: Rs. 40,000 per month
• Lab Associate: Rs. 35,000 per month
• Field Assistant: Rs. 30,000 per month
• Technical Assistant: Rs. 30,000 per month

These posts are co-terminus with the project. Selected candidates cannot claim regular appointment at NBSS&LUP or ICAR.

• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview.

Selection Process

Selection is through a single-stage walk-in interview:

1. Walk-in Interview: Held on 20 May 2026 at 11:00 AM at ICAR-NBSSLUP, Amravati Road, Nagpur. Bring your application on plain paper and all required documents.
2. Document Verification: You must produce original certificates at the time of the interview.

The decision of the Director, ICAR-NBSSLUP, Nagpur will be final and binding in all respects.
