Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK), one of India's top management institutes set up by the Government of India in 1996, is looking for a Software Engineer (PHP) on contract under Advertisement No. C-20/2026-IIMK.HR. This is a great opportunity for PHP developers with experience in web application development to work at a premier academic institution. The selection involves a practical test, so candidates with hands-on coding skills will have an advantage.

Who Can Apply?

Option 1 (Higher Qualification):

• Qualification: B.Tech (CS/CE/IT/ECE/EE), BE (CS/CE/IT/ECE/EE), MCA, M.Sc, M.Tech (CS/CE/IT/ECE/EE), or MS in Software Systems or equivalent from a recognised university.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Software Development, IT System Projects, Website Development, or Mobile Application Development.

Option 2 (Lower Qualification):

• Qualification: BCA, B.Sc (Computer Science/IT), or Diploma in relevant field from a recognised institution.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Software Development, IT System Projects, Website Development, or Mobile Application Development.

Required Skills:

• Experience in the complete lifecycle of web application development
• Experience as a full stack developer or mobile app developer

Desirable Skills:

• Proficiency in deployment tools like VS Code or Netbeans
• Proficiency in application stacks and frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgniter, LAMP stack

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 30 years
• Age relaxation may be applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India norms.

Salary

• You will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 35,300 per month.
• This is a contractual position and the salary is a fixed consolidated amount.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 3 stages:

1. Screening of Applications: Your application will be reviewed to check if you meet the eligibility criteria. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the next round.
2. Practical Test: You will be given a hands-on coding or technical test to evaluate your PHP development skills and problem-solving ability.
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the practical test will appear for a personal interview.
