JNCASR R&D Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), an autonomous institution under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, is looking for one R&D Assistant to work in the Engineering Mechanics Unit under the guidance of Prof. Diwakar S. Venkatesan. JNCASR is a premier multidisciplinary research institute and Deemed University located in Jakkur, Bengaluru. This is a temporary position ideal for mechanical engineers with a background in production engineering and experimental setup work.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification: You must have a B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
• Desirable Experience: At least 15 years of experience in production engineering is preferred.
• Skills Preferred: You should be able to coordinate manufacturing, assembly, testing, and installation of special experimental setups. Knowledge of heat treatment processes, machining, and polishing activities is expected.
• Programming Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of C and C++ programming languages is highly desired.

Age Limit

• There is no age limit for this post as per the official notification.

Salary

• You will get a salary of Rs. 22,610 per month as the base pay.
• In addition, you will receive 30% HRA (House Rent Allowance), which comes to approximately Rs. 6,783 per month.
• Your total monthly take-home will be approximately Rs. 29,393.

Selection Process

The selection will involve the following stages:
