Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has notified Category No. 15/2026 for filling 1 Dental Hygienist Grade-II vacancy in the Health Services Department through the Eleventh NCA (Non-Community Availability) notification. This vacancy was originally part of the Ranked List published on 29 November 2005 (Cat. No. 253/2004) but remained unfilled due to the unavailability of qualified candidates from the Dheevara community. Only candidates belonging to the Dheevara community of Kerala are eligible to apply. Applications from other communities will be rejected without any individual communication.

Who Can Apply?

• Educational Qualification: You need to have passed SSLC (10th Standard) or its equivalent examination.
• Professional Qualification: You must have completed the Dental Hygienist course conducted at the Dental College, Thiruvananthapuram, or an equivalent recognised course.
• Community: You must belong to the Dheevara community of Kerala State. This is an NCA vacancy and applications from candidates of other communities will not be considered.
• Equivalent Qualifications: As per Rule 10(a)(ii) of Part II of KS&SSR, qualifications recognised by Government executive orders as equivalent to the prescribed qualifications will also be accepted.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 43 years old.
• You must have been born between 02 January 1983 and 01 January 2008 (both dates included).
• Age relaxation: As per Para 2(i) of the General Conditions of KPSC is already included in the upper age limit. For other relaxation categories, refer to Para 2 of the General Conditions (except Para 2(i)).

Salary

• Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary in the scale of Rs. 35,600 to Rs. 75,400.
• You will also receive DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Kerala Government rules.

Application Fee

• No application fee is required for this post.
• KPSC does not charge any fee for applying through the One Time Registration (OTR) system.

Selection Process

The selection process may include the following stages:

1. Written Test / OMR / Online Test: If conducted as part of this selection, you will need to submit a confirmation through your OTR profile. Only confirmed candidates can download admission tickets (available 15 days before the exam).
2. Document Verification: You will need to produce original documents proving your qualification, experience, age, and community at this stage.

Note: Candidates who fail to submit confirmation within the stipulated period will have their applications rejected.

How to Apply

1. Go to the Kerala PSC official website at www.keralapsc.gov.in.
2. Register yourself through the One Time Registration (OTR) system if you have not done so already.
3. Log in to your profile using your User ID and password.
4. Find this notification (Cat. No. 15/2026) in the Notification section and click Apply Now.
5. Upload a recent photograph taken within 6 months (if creating a new profile). Your name and the date the photo was taken must be printed at the bottom of the photograph.
6. Add your Aadhaar Card as ID proof in your profile.
7. Verify all personal information in your profile before final submission.
8. Submit the application and keep a printout or soft copy for future reference.

Important: Once submitted, the application cannot be deleted or modified. Profile corrections made after the last date will not reflect in the application.

• Assist dentists during dental procedures and patient examinations
• Perform dental prophylaxis including scaling and cleaning of teeth
• Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants as directed
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care
• Maintain and sterilise dental instruments and equipment
• Keep accurate records of patient treatments and dental charts
• Prepare patients for dental procedures and manage post-treatment care
