Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd. (MRVC) is hiring 2 Project Engineers (MEP) on a contractual basis. If you have a BE/B.Tech in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with at least 60% marks and 2 years of MEP experience, this is your chance to work on Mumbai's suburban rail improvement projects. MRVC Project Engineer (MEP) Recruitment 2026 — 2 Posts

MRVC Ltd. is a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. It was incorporated on 12 July 1999 to execute projects under the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP) for enhancing suburban rail capacity. Through Notification No. MRVC/E/PE/16/2026 dated 01-04-2026, MRVC is looking for dynamic and result-oriented engineers to work on MEP systems for ongoing suburban rail projects in Mumbai and extended suburbs.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• BE/B.Tech (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) from an AICTE-recognized university with minimum 60% marks.
• If your university awards CGPA/OGPA/CPI/DGPA instead of percentage, it will be converted as per university norms.
• Rounding off of percentage is not allowed — for example, 59.99% will be treated as less than 60%.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of post-qualification work experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) in a Government organization, PSU, or Public Limited Company as Project Engineer or equivalent.
• You need in-depth understanding of MEP systems including HVAC, air distribution, renewable energy systems, electrical systems (power distribution), and plumbing (water systems, storm drains, gas piping).
• Knowledge of tools like AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MATLAB, and Simulink is required for creating system designs and models.
• Experience certificate from a Public Listed Company with average annual turnover of Rs. 500 Crore and above in last 3 financial years (listed on NSE or BSE for at least 5 years) will also be accepted.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 30 years as on the date of issue of vacancy notification (01 April 2026).

Salary

• Pay Scale: IDA Equivalent E1 grade Rs. 40,000 - 1,40,000
• Basic Pay: Rs. 40,000/- per month
• Allowances: Dearness Allowance, Cafeteria of Allowances, House Rent Allowance, Consolidated Travelling Allowance, Provident Fund (employer's share)
• Other benefits: Mobile phone, laptop, Sodexo coupons, and other entitlements as per MRVC policy
• Medical facility as per the corporation's policy
• Leave: 8 Casual Leave, 2 Restricted Holidays, 10 Sick Leave (half pay with commutation), and 12 Special Leave per year
• After 1 year of satisfactory performance, you will be designated as Senior Project Engineer with enhanced perks

Selection Process

1. Preliminary Screening: Applications received by mail will be screened for eligibility.
2. Shortlisting: If eligible applications exceed 5 times the vacancies (i.e., 10), shortlisting will be done based on engineering marks and experience.
3. Document Verification and Interaction: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents and certificates.
4. Personal Interview: A nominated committee will interview candidates. Selection will be based on merit — your qualifications, post-qualification experience, and interview performance.
5. Minimum qualifying marks in interview: 60%

Note: No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in document verification and interview.

• Handle design and execution of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems for suburban rail projects under MUTP.
• Prepare detailed MEP system designs using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MATLAB, and Simulink software tools.
• Monitor HVAC, air distribution, renewable energy systems, and electrical power distribution installations at project sites.
• Work on plumbing systems including water supply, storm drains, and gas piping for station and infrastructure projects.
• Assist in coordinating with contractors and stakeholders for timely execution of MEP works across Mumbai suburban area.
• Follow MRVC's quality standards and safety protocols during all phases of project execution.
• Manage documentation related to MEP works including drawings, bills of quantities, and progress reports.
