Selection Process

The selection approach differs based on the level of the post you are applying for. Junior Engineers (S-3) will go through a Computer Based Test (CBT) only. For E-0 level (Graduate Assistant), selection involves a Skill Test followed by a Personal Interview. E-1 to E-3 level posts (Assistant Manager, Sr. Project Executive, Deputy Manager, Manager) require clearing a CBT and then a Personal Interview. The General Manager (E-6) position is filled through a Personal Interview alone.

Preparation Tips

  1. Focus on your core engineering subjects if you are applying for JE posts -- questions typically cover technical knowledge related to Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering along with general aptitude
  2. Brush up on current affairs and general knowledge as CBT papers for PSU recruitment usually include a GK component
  3. Review your domain expertise for management-level posts -- expect questions or interview discussion around your specific area (HRM, Architecture, Company Law, etc.)
  4. Keep all your documents ready well before the deadline -- you will need scanned copies of certificates, photograph, and signature during the online application

Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage construction and project management activities as per the assigned role and discipline
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders for timely project delivery
  • Prepare technical reports, estimates, and documentation relevant to the assigned department
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and organizational policies
  • Support senior management in planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for ongoing projects
  • Handle administrative, HR, corporate communication, or IT functions as applicable to the specific post

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Three years full-time Diploma in Engineering (for JE posts); Degree/PG Degree in relevant discipline (for other posts)

Preferred Qualification

Higher qualifications and additional relevant certifications in respective disciplines

Required Skills

Technical knowledge in respective engineering discipline, project management, communication skills

Exam Pattern

The selection process varies by post level:

  • S-3 Level (Junior Engineers): Computer Based Test (CBT) only. The CBT is expected to cover technical knowledge in the relevant engineering discipline along with general aptitude and awareness sections.
  • E-0 Level (Graduate Assistant): Skill Test followed by Personal Interview. The skill test evaluates IT/networking competency.
  • E-1 to E-3 Level (Assistant Manager, Sr. Project Executive, Deputy Manager, Manager): Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Personal Interview. The CBT tests domain-specific knowledge and general management aptitude.
