Selection Process
There is no separate written exam for this recruitment. Your GATE-2024 or GATE-2025 score carries 75% weightage in the final selection. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Group Discussion (5% weightage) and Personal Interview (20% weightage). To qualify, OBC(NCL) candidates need a combined GD and PI score of at least 40%, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates need 30%. You will also undergo an offline psychometric assessment during the GD/PI stage.

Responsibilities
- Undergo one year of structured training at NHPC projects and power stations

- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and documentation as assigned
- Follow safety protocols and NHPC quality standards at all times
- Participate in operation and maintenance activities at power stations after absorption
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) from a recognized university approved by AICTE. Valid GATE-2024 or GATE-2025 score required.
Preferred Qualification
AMIE with enrollment up to 31.05.2013 with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade is also accepted.
Required Skills

Pay Scale
Rs. 50,000-3%-1,60,000 (IDA) — E-2 Grade
Allowances
Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, HRA, Cafeteria Allowance, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Medical Facility, Social Security Benefits including PF, Pension, and Gratuity. Total annual emoluments approximately Rs. 15-16 Lacs.

Exam Pattern
There is no separate written exam. Selection is based on GATE-2024/GATE-2025 score normalized out of 100.

No cut-off marks for Group Discussion or Personal Interview individually. However, there will be a cut-off on the combined GD + PI score:

Candidates will also undergo an offline Psychometric Assessment during the GD/PI round, which will be used as an input during the interview.
Note: Only GATE-2024 and GATE-2025 scores are valid. GATE scores of any other year are not accepted.

- Service Agreement Bond: 4 years minimum service bond. Bond amount: Rs. 4,00,000 + GST for General/OBC(NCL); Rs. 2,00,000 + GST for SC/ST/PwBD
- Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must be medically fit as per NHPC guidelines
