NIMHANS Senior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, has invited applications for 1 Senior Research Fellow position for the project titled "Development and Implementation of Certificate Course in Suicide Prevention for the Armed Forces," funded by 16 CORPS. The project is under Dr. K S Meena, Professor and Head of the Department of Mental Health Education. This is a walk-in selection with written test and interview, so you do not need to fill any online application form. Candidates with a background in clinical psychology, counselling, or psychiatric social work should consider this role if they also have multimedia and e-learning platform skills.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a 2-year Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Applied Psychology, Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Psychological Counselling, or Psychiatric Social Work.
• Computer Skills: You must have advanced computer knowledge with hands-on experience in managing e-learning platforms like Moodle or Google Meet.
• Multimedia Skills: You should be skilled in creating interactive multimedia presentations using Canva, screen recording, and professional video editing.
• Domain Knowledge: Experience in creating modules and videos related to suicide prevention is essential.
• Desirable: Mastery of live-streaming and virtual meeting platforms such as MS Teams and Google Meet for real-time educational delivery.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 40 years.

Salary

• Selected candidates will receive Rs. 40,000 per month (consolidated).
• The project duration is 15 months. Your initial appointment will be for 6 months, extendable based on your performance until the project ends.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through a walk-in process with 2 stages:

1. Written Test: You must score a minimum of 50% in the written examination to qualify for the next stage.
2. Interview: Candidates who clear the written test will be called for the interview. For direct interview (if applicable), you must score at least 50% marks.

Note: The institute reserves the right to select a suitable candidate. Meeting the essential qualifications alone does not guarantee selection.

• Manage and maintain e-learning platforms such as Moodle for course delivery

• Coordinate live-streaming sessions and virtual meetings using MS Teams or Google Meet
• Prepare documentation, reports, and progress updates for the project team
