National Institute of Technology Raipur (NIT Raipur), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, has released a notification for 1 Project Assistant post in an R&D project sponsored by IBITF, IIT Bhilai. The research area is Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Fintech. There is no written exam — selection is through a walk-in interview at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. Freshers with strong skills in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Python can apply.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in CSE / IT / Data Science / AI / ML or any other relevant branch
• OR B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering / IT / EE / ETE / Data Science / AI / ML or any other relevant branch
• OR MCA / M.Sc (Computer Science / IT) equivalent
• Degree must be from an Institute of National Importance or AICTE-approved University
• Minimum 65% marks or 7.0 CGPA (out of 10) is required

Desirable Skills

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Machine Learning
• Experience in Deep Learning and Web Technologies
• Hands-on experience with Python
• GATE / CSIR-UGC NET qualified candidates can attach proof

Salary

• Consolidated monthly fellowship: Rs. 20,000 per month
• No travel or other allowances will be paid for attending the interview
• The position is purely temporary and contractual in nature

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done through:

1. Walk-in Interview: Held on 28 May 2026 from 11:00 AM onwards at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, NIT Raipur
2. Document Verification: Original certificates must be presented at the time of interview

Online interviews may be considered on an individual basis for exceptional cases.

The position is initially for 6 months, with possible extension for another 6 months based on performance and project duration. Selected candidates may also get an opportunity to enroll for PhD at NIT Raipur.

• Work on the R&D project focused on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Fintech
• Develop and test machine learning and deep learning models
• Build web-based interfaces and tools using Python and related libraries
• Assist the Principal Investigator in research design and data analysis
• Prepare project reports, documentation, and research papers
• Collaborate with the Department of Computer Science & Engineering team
• Present project progress in periodic review meetings
