Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), through its Integrated Health and Family Welfare Society under the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM), has invited applications for 54 contractual positions in Urban Health and Wellness Centres funded by the 15th Finance Commission. The recruitment covers 28 Staff Nurse and 26 Multi-Purpose Worker (Male) vacancies. Maharashtra domicile is mandatory for all applicants. These are purely contractual appointments for a period of 6 months, with no claim for permanent absorption.

Who Can Apply?

For Staff Nurse (Female & Male):

• Qualification: You need to have passed 12th (HSC) along with a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Diploma or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Registration: Valid registration with the Maharashtra Nursing Council is mandatory.
• Domicile: You must be a resident of Maharashtra with a valid Domicile Certificate.
• Computer Knowledge: MSCIT certificate is desirable.
• Small Family Certificate: Candidates must not have more than 2 children born after 23 July 2020.

For Multi-Purpose Worker (Male):

• Qualification: You need to have passed 12th Science along with a Paramedical Basic Training Course or Sanitary Inspector Course from a recognized institution.
• Domicile: You must be a resident of Maharashtra with a valid Domicile Certificate.
• Computer Knowledge: MSCIT certificate is desirable.
• Small Family Certificate: Candidates must not have more than 2 children born after 23 July 2020.

Age Limit

• Maximum age for Open (Unreserved) category: 38 years
• Maximum age for Reserved categories: 43 years
• Age is calculated as per the General Administration Department, Government of Maharashtra order dated 25 April 2016, based on the last date of application submission.
• Age relaxation for reserved categories is applicable as per Maharashtra Government rules.

Salary

• Staff Nurse: Rs. 20,000 per month (lump-sum contractual payment)
• Multi-Purpose Worker (Male): Rs. 18,000 per month (lump-sum contractual payment)
• These are consolidated amounts. No additional allowances like DA or HRA are payable as these are contractual positions.
• Appointment duration is 6 months (contractual).

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is purely based on merit. There is no written examination for either post:

1. Merit-Based Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on marks obtained in educational qualifications and relevant work experience. Your academic scores and experience certificates will determine your ranking.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents including educational certificates, caste certificate, domicile certificate, experience certificates, and other required documents.

• Provide nursing care and health services to patients visiting the Urban Health and Wellness Centre
• Conduct basic health check-ups, screenings, and immunization drives in the community
• Maintain patient health records and daily treatment registers accurately
• Assist doctors during consultations, examinations, and minor procedures
• Educate community members about hygiene, nutrition, maternal health, and disease prevention
• Carry out home visits for follow-up care and community health surveys
• Manage medicine stock and ensure proper storage of vaccines and supplies
• Report communicable disease cases and participate in outbreak response activities
