ITI certificate holders with NAC from NCVT can apply for DBW, while B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Chemical Engineering holders can apply for Project Engineer. Last date to apply is 11 April 2026. There is no application fee. DBW salary starts at Rs. 19,900 per month and Project Engineer salary ranges from Rs. 36,000 to Rs. 39,338 per month.

Ordnance Factory Badmal Recruitment 2026 - 86 Posts

Ordnance Factory Badmal (OFBL), located in Balangir district of Odisha, is part of the Ammunition and Explosive Group of Ordnance Factories under Munitions India Limited. The factory has released two separate notifications for engaging personnel on a tenure/contract basis. These positions are initially for one year and can be extended up to a maximum of four years based on factory requirements and your performance. Applications are completely free and must be sent by post to the factory.

Note: The DBW post is not identified for PwBD candidates. For Project Engineer, only PwBD with disability of One Arm affected are eligible.

Who Can Apply?

For Danger Building Worker (DBW):

• Qualification: You need a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by NCVT.
• Trade: AOCP (Attendant Operator Chemical Plant) is the primary trade.
• Feeder Trades also accepted: IMCP, MMCP, LACP, PPO, Fitter General, Machinist, Turner, Sheet Metal Worker, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Boiler Attendant, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.
• Priority goes to AOCP trade apprentices of Ordnance Factories. Feeder trade candidates will only be considered if AOCP candidates are insufficient.

For Graduate/Diploma Project Engineer (Chemical):

• Option 1: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
• Option 2: B.Sc Graduate with Chemistry as one of the major subjects.
• Apprenticeship: You must have completed apprenticeship in a Chemical Trade in Ordnance Factories under Munitions India Limited, or in factories manufacturing/handling ammunitions and explosives, or in other Chemical trade factories.
• First preference goes to B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with apprenticeship in ammunition/explosive manufacturing.

Age Limit

For DBW:

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old as on the closing date of application.
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation (only for reserved posts)
• OBC (NCL): 3 years relaxation (only for reserved posts)
• Ex-Serviceman: Period of military service + 3 years

For Project Engineer:

• You should be between 18 and 30 years old as on the closing date of application.
• OBC (NCL): 3 years relaxation (only for reserved posts)

Salary

Danger Building Worker (DBW):

• Basic Pay: Rs. 19,900 per month
• Plus Central DA (Dearness Allowance) as applicable
• Plus HRA (House Rent Allowance) as per city classification
• Plus Risk Allowance for working in danger zones
• Plus Night Duty Allowance when deployed in night shifts
• Annual increment of 3% on basic pay (subject to satisfactory performance)
• Eligible for EPF and Bonus as per applicable rules

Graduate/Diploma Project Engineer (Chemical):

• 1st Year: Rs. 36,000 per month
• 2nd Year: Rs. 37,080 per month
• 3rd Year: Rs. 38,192 per month
• 4th Year: Rs. 39,338 per month
• Plus IDA (Industrial Dearness Allowance) as applicable
• Plus HRA as per city classification
• Eligible for EPF and Bonus as per applicable rules

Application Fee

• No application fee for any category.
• This applies to General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS and all other categories.

Selection Process

For DBW:

1. Document Verification: Candidates will be called based on NCVT (NAC) marks in order of merit (category-wise). Eligibility will be verified during document verification.
2. Trade/Practical Test: Candidates found eligible in document verification will take the trade test on the same day.

Merit Calculation (DBW): NCVT (NAC) Exam carries 80% weightage and Trade/Practical Test carries 20% weightage. Final merit is based on combined marks (category-wise).

For Project Engineer:

1. Document Verification: Candidates will be called based on degree/diploma marks in order of merit and preference.
2. Personal Interaction/Interview: Candidates found eligible in document verification will appear for a personal interaction.

Merit Calculation (Project Engineer): Degree/Diploma marks carry 85% weightage and Personal Interaction/Interview carries 15% weightage.

2. Print the application form and fill it in BLOCK LETTERS.
3. Paste a recent passport-size photograph (self-attested in front) on the form.
4. Attach self-attested copies of all required documents.
5. Write clearly on the envelope: "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF TENURE BASED DBW ON CONTRACT BASIS" (or Project Engineer as applicable).
