Ordnance Factory Badmal (OFBL), a unit of Munitions India Limited under the Ministry of Defence, has invited offline applications for 80 Tenure Based Danger Building Worker (Skilled) posts at its facility in Badmal, Balangir district, Odisha. The engagement is initially for one year on contract basis, which may be extended up to a maximum of four years depending on factory requirements and performance. There is no written exam — selection is based on NCVT marks and a Trade/Practical Test. ITI pass candidates from AOCP and feeder trades should apply before the deadline.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT in AOCP (Attendant Operator Chemical Plant) trade or any of the eligible feeder trades.
• Eligible Feeder Trades: IMCP, MMCP, LACP, PPO, Fitter General, Machinist, Turner, Sheet Metal Worker, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Boiler Attendant, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.
• Priority: AOCP trade apprentices from Ordnance Factories with Government affiliation get first priority. Feeder trade candidates are considered only when AOCP seats remain unfilled.
• Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old as on the closing date of receipt of application (16 June 2026).
• SC/ST Candidates: 5 years relaxation (only for posts reserved for SC/ST).
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation (only for posts reserved for OBC).
• Ex-Serviceman: Period of Military Service + 3 years.
• PwBD candidates are not eligible for this post.

Salary

• Basic Pay: Rs. 19,900 per month (Skilled level).
• You will also receive Central Dearness Allowance (DA) as applicable.
• House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per city classification (where company quarters are not available).
• Risk Allowance at par with regular employees for similar type of work.
• Night Duty Allowance when deployed in night shifts during production exigency.
• An annual increment of 3% on basic pay on completion of each year (subject to satisfactory performance).
• Eligible for EPF and coverage under Employees Compensation Act.
• Eligible for Company Quarters wherever available and Company Holidays at par with regular employees.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written examination for this recruitment. Selection is based on two stages:

1. Document Verification: Candidates qualifying in NCVT (NAC) will be called for document verification based on the marks secured in NAC, in the order of merit (category-wise). The cut-off percentage will be decided by Ordnance Factory Badmal.
2. Trade/Practical Test: Candidates found eligible in document verification will be taken for the Trade/Practical Test on the same day.

Weightage of Marks:

• NCVT (NAC) Exam: 80%
• Trade/Practical Test: 20%

Final merit list (category-wise) will be prepared based on combined marks of the NCVT (NAC) exam and Trade/Practical Test.

• Handle manufacturing and processing of military explosives and ammunitions under safety protocols
• Work in designated danger buildings following strict safety norms for handling explosives
• Follow all factory rules, standing orders, and safety guidelines related to ammunition production
• Assist in operating chemical plant equipment and machinery in the production line
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the danger building work area
• Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or irregularities to supervisors immediately
• Participate in mandatory safety training including safe handling of explosives, dos and donts
• Work in shifts including night duty when required during production exigency
