Ordnance Factory Bhandara (MIL) Tenure Based Project Engineer Recruitment 2026 - 30 Posts

Ordnance Factory Bhandara (OF Bhandara), a unit of Munitions India Limited (MIL) under the Ministry of Defence, has invited applications for 30 Tenure Based Project Engineer posts in the Chemical Trade (Supervisory Staff) category. This is a contract position for 1 year, which can be extended up to a maximum of 4 years based on performance. No written exam is required — selection is purely through merit and shortlisting based on your qualifications and experience. If you hold a chemical engineering degree, diploma, or a B.Sc. in Chemistry with completed apprenticeship training, this is a solid opportunity to work in one of India's important defence production units.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification Option 1: B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from a recognised university or institution
• Qualification Option 2: Diploma in Chemical Engineering from a recognised institution
• Qualification Option 3: B.Sc. with Chemistry as one of the major subjects from a recognised university
• Mandatory Condition: You must have completed Apprenticeship Training (refer to the detailed notification for the exact apprenticeship qualification)

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 30 years old as on 11 April 2026.
• SC / ST: 5 years relaxation (upper age limit becomes 35 years)
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation (upper age limit becomes 33 years)
• PwBD: 10 years relaxation (upper age limit becomes 40 years)
• Ex-Servicemen: Military service period + 3 years relaxation
• Ex-Apprentice: If the age bar comes in the way, relaxation will be given to the extent of the apprenticeship training period.

Salary

• 1st Year: Rs. 36,000 per month
• 2nd Year: Rs. 37,000 per month
• 3rd Year: Rs. 38,152 per month
• 4th Year: Rs. 39,338 per month
• You will also get Dearness Allowance (DA) as applicable on top of the basic pay.
• This is a tenure-based contractual engagement, not a permanent government post.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for this recruitment. Selection will be based on:

2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification to confirm eligibility, category certificates, qualification marks, and apprenticeship completion.
