This is a contract-based engagement, starting with one year and extendable up to four years depending on the factory's needs and your performance. Who Can Apply?

  • Main Trade (Priority): You need a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or National Trade Certificate (NTC) from NCVT in AOCP (Attendant Operator Chemical Plant) trade. Candidates trained in AOCP at Ordnance Factories under erstwhile OFB or under Munitions India Limited will get priority.
  • Feeder Trades (Also Eligible): IMCP, MMCP, LACP, Process Plant Operator (PPO), Fitter General, Machinist, Turner, Sheet Metal Worker, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Boiler Attendant, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic.
  • Training Experience: Candidates must have training or experience in manufacturing and handling of military explosives and ammunition, OR hold AOCP certification from a Government ITI or government-affiliated institute.

Age Limit

  • You should be between 18 and 40 years old as on the last date of receipt of applications (18 April 2026).
  • SC/ST candidates: 5 years relaxation (up to 45 years)
  • OBC-NCL candidates: 3 years relaxation (up to 43 years)
  • Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation as per Government of India rules
  • PwBD candidates are not eligible for this post.

Salary

  • Basic Pay: Rs. 19,900 per month (Skilled level)
  • Plus Dearness Allowance (DA) as per Central Government rules
  • Other allowances as applicable
  • Estimated in-hand salary: approximately Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000 per month

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on merit — there is no written examination for this recruitment. The process has three stages:

  1. Merit List Preparation: A combined merit list will be prepared based on your ITI/NAC marks. Priority is given to AOCP trade apprentices trained at Ordnance Factories. A separate merit list is prepared for candidates from other institutes.
  2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of all original certificates and documents.
  3. Medical Examination: Candidates who clear document verification will undergo a medical fitness test as per the factory's requirements for working in danger buildings.

In case of a tie in merit marks, the candidate who is older in age will be placed higher in the merit list.

Responsibilities

  • Handle manufacturing and processing of military explosives and ammunition in designated danger buildings
  • Operate chemical plant equipment and machinery as per standard operating procedures
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines strictly while working with hazardous materials
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area as per factory safety norms
  • Assist senior workers and supervisors in daily production activities
  • Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or irregularities to the shift supervisor immediately
  • Keep proper records of production output and material usage during each shift

Minimum Qualification

NAC/NTC from NCVT in AOCP trade or feeder trades (Fitter, Electrician, Machinist, Turner, etc.)

Preferred Qualification

AOCP trade apprenticeship completed at Ordnance Factories under Munitions India Limited
