Who Can Apply?
For Deputy Manager (Technical) - E-1 Level
- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc.(Engg) in Electronics & Telecom, Computer Science, Computer & Communication, Information Technology, Electrical, or Electronics. Alternatively, M.Sc. in Electronics & Instrumentation, or MCA.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in System Administration in a Central/State Govt. Org, PSU, or Private Organisation with turnover of Rs. 300 Cr. or more.
- Certification: Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, OR Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), OR VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA).
For Manager (Technical) - E-2 Level (Database Admin)
- Qualification: Same as Deputy Manager.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in Database Administration.
- Certification: Microsoft Certified Azure Database Administrator Associate, OR MongoDB Certified Database Administrator, OR MySQL Database Administrator, OR Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate, OR PostgreSQL Certified Engineer (CPe).
For Manager (Technical) - E-2 Level (IT)
- Qualification: Same engineering degrees as above.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in IT areas including NIC eOffice, Linux servers, databases, and Java EE applications.
- Certification: RHCSA, OR RHCE, OR Oracle Certified Professional (Java), OR Microsoft Certified Azure AI Engineer, OR Certified AI Practitioner (CAIP).
For Senior Manager (Technical) - E-3 Level
- Qualification: Same engineering degrees as above.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience in the relevant specialization (System Admin or IT).
- Certification: For System Admin: Azure Administrator, RHCSA, RHCE, VCTA, CKA, or JNCIA-Cloud. For IT: Same as Manager (IT) level plus AI/LLM certifications accepted.
Note: Only post-qualification experience is counted. Training, apprenticeship, and academic project experience are excluded. Certifications must be valid as on the last date of application.
Age Limit
- Deputy Manager (E-1): 21 to 30 years (born between 07.04.1995 and 06.04.2005)
- Manager (E-2): 23 to 31 years (born between 07.04.1994 and 06.04.2003)

Salary
- Deputy Manager (E-1): Pay scale Rs. 40,000 - 1,40,000 per month (3rd PRC IDA pattern). CTC approximately Rs. 12 Lakh per annum plus annual PRP.
- Manager (E-2): Pay scale Rs. 50,000 - 1,60,000 per month. CTC approximately Rs. 15 Lakh per annum plus annual PRP.
- Senior Manager (E-3): Pay scale Rs. 60,000 - 1,80,000 per month. CTC approximately Rs. 18 Lakh per annum plus annual PRP.
- You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Central PSU rules.

Selection Process
The selection will involve the following stages:
- Interview (100 marks): The primary mode of selection. You need to score a minimum of 60% marks to qualify. Final empanelment is strictly on merit basis.
- Skill Test / Written Test (if required): If there are a large number of applicants, RailTel may conduct a written test or skill test before the interview. In such cases, the written/skill test carries 150 marks and the interview carries 50 marks. You need 60% cumulative marks to be eligible for empanelment.
- Document Verification: Original documents related to date of birth, qualifications, experience, certifications, and category certificates will be verified at the time of interview.
- Medical Examination: After empanelment, you must pass the C-2 medical standards of Indian Railway Medical Manual.

Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Data Centre infrastructure including servers, storage systems, and network equipment
- Handle installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux and Windows server environments
- Monitor server performance, database health, and ensure high availability of IT services
- Implement security protocols, backup strategies, and disaster recovery procedures
- Work on cloud orchestration and virtualization platforms such as VMware, OpenStack, or Nutanix
- Assist in deploying and maintaining NIC eOffice and other government IT solutions
- Prepare technical reports, maintain documentation, and coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Provide technical support to users and conduct training sessions as needed

Exam Pattern
The primary selection method is Interview, carrying 100 marks with a qualifying mark of 60%.
If Written Test / Skill Test is Conducted

- Interview: 50 marks
- Total: 200 marks
- Qualifying Marks: 60% cumulative in written exam and interview combined
