Rama Devi Women's University (RDWU), Bhubaneswar has released a recruitment notice (No. 4152/Dt. 30.04.2026) to fill 80 regular faculty positions including backlog vacancies across 22 departments such as Botany, Business Administration, Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, Education, English, Gender Studies, Hindi, History, Home Science, Journalism & Mass Communication, Life Science, Mathematics, Music, Odia, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit, Sociology, Statistics and Zoology. The recruitment covers 11 Professor posts (Notification No. 4149), 23 Associate Professor posts (Notification No. 4150) and 46 Assistant Professor posts (Notification No. 4151). Selection is purely merit and interview based — there is no written exam. Eligible candidates from across India can apply.

Who Can Apply?

For Assistant Professor (Pay Level 10):

• You need a Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD) in the relevant subject from an Indian or foreign University.
• You must have cleared NET / SLET / SET conducted by UGC/CSIR or equivalent, OR have been awarded a Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016.
• Alternatively, a Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 (QS / THE / ARWU) is acceptable.

For Associate Professor (Pay Level 13A):

• A good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline.
• A Master's Degree with 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
• At least 8 years of teaching/research experience as Assistant Professor or equivalent, with 7 publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 75 as per UGC Appendix II, Table 2.

For Professor (Pay Level 14):

• Option A: An eminent scholar with a Ph.D., a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals and a research score of 120, plus 10 years of teaching/research experience with evidence of guiding a doctoral candidate.
• Option B: An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. in relevant discipline from any academic institution/industry with significant contribution and 10 years of experience.

Age Limit

• Candidates above 60 years will not be eligible to apply.
• Age and other shortlisting criteria will be checked as on the closing date of online application (10 June 2026).
• Reservation and relaxation will be as per Government of Odisha norms.

Salary

• Assistant Professor: Pay Level 10 — Rs. 57,700 to Rs. 1,82,400 per month (7th CPC)
• Associate Professor: Pay Level 13A — Rs. 1,31,400 to Rs. 2,17,100 per month (7th CPC)
• Professor: Pay Level 14 — Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200 per month (7th CPC)
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Government of Odisha rules.

Application Fee

• General and SEBC category: Rs. 2,000
• SC, ST, PWD and Women candidates: Rs. 1,000
• Fee must be paid online through the bank details on the portal. The fee is non-refundable.
• If you apply for more than one post, you must pay the fee separately for each post.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on academic merit and interview as per UGC Notification dated 18 July 2018:

1. Screening / Scrutiny: Applications received by the due date will be screened.
2. Shortlisting: A maximum of 15 candidates will be called for interview for a single post. For multiple posts, candidates will be called in the ratio of 1:10 based on scores secured during scrutiny.
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will face an interview before the selection committee. You must come prepared with a PPT on biodata, subject domain strength, AI in pedagogy, funded research, consultancy and vision for the university.

Selection follows Table 3A of Appendix-II for Assistant Professor and Table 2 of Appendix-II for Associate Professor and Professor (UGC Notification 18 July 2018).

1. Go to the HIMS Odisha portal at hims.odisha.gov.in from 07 May 2026 onwards.
2. Register yourself and fill in the online application form.
3. Upload soft copies of all required documents and your photograph (JPEG, under 200 kb).
4. Pay the applicable fee online through the bank details provided.
5. Submit the form before 10 June 2026 midnight.
6. Download and print the submitted application from the HIMS portal.
7. Send the hard copy with all documents by Speed Post only to The Registrar, Rama Devi Women's University, Vidya Vihar, P.O.-Bhoi Nagar, Bhubaneswar - 751022, District-Khorda, Odisha so as to reach on or before 20 June 2026.

Courier, ordinary post and hand delivery will not be accepted. Applications without signature or fee will be rejected.
