Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital (RGSSH), an Autonomous Post-Graduate Institute under the Government of NCT of Delhi, is hiring 43 faculty members across multiple medical disciplines. The hospital, a proposed 650-bedded tertiary care facility in Tahirpur, Delhi, needs Professors, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors in departments like Cardiology, CTVS, Nephrology, Anaesthesia, Critical Care, and more. Selection is through interview only — there is no written exam. The appointment is on contractual basis for an initial period of 5 years, with possibility of extension based on performance.

Who Can Apply?

For Professor (Rs. 3,05,000/month):

• General/Broad Specialty: You need a medical qualification included in Schedule I or II (or Part II of Schedule III) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, plus a postgraduate qualification such as MD/MS or equivalent in the relevant discipline.
• Super-Specialty: M.Ch. (for surgical super specialties) or D.M. (for medical super specialties) — either 3-year or 6-year recognized course, or equivalent qualification.

For Associate Professor (Rs. 2,55,000/month):

• General/Broad Specialty: Same medical qualification as Professor — MD/MS or recognized equivalent in the relevant discipline.
• Super-Specialty: M.Ch. or D.M. — 3-year or 6-year recognized course, or equivalent qualification.

For Assistant Professor (Rs. 1,95,000/month):

• General/Broad Specialty: Same medical qualification as above — MD/MS or recognized equivalent in the relevant discipline.
• Super-Specialty: M.Ch. or D.M. — 3-year or 6-year recognized course, or equivalent qualification.

DNB qualifications will be considered as per NMC guidelines. DNB holders must attach Equivalency Certification from NBE along with the application.

You must be registered with the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council. After selection, DMC registration mentioning the essential qualification for the selected post will be mandatory.

Experience Required

Professor:

• General Discipline: 13 years of teaching and/or research experience, including at least 4 years as Assistant Professor and 3 years as Associate Professor in a recognized institution, after obtaining MD/MS.
• Super-Specialty: 10 years of teaching and/or research experience, including at least 4 years as Assistant Professor and 3 years as Associate Professor, after obtaining DM/MCh (3-year or 6-year course).

Associate Professor:

• General Discipline: 7 years of teaching and/or research experience, including at least 4 years as Assistant Professor in a recognized institution, after obtaining MD/MS.
• Super-Specialty: 4 years of teaching and/or research experience as Assistant Professor in a recognized institution, after obtaining DM/MCh (3-year or 6-year course).

Assistant Professor:

• General Discipline: 3 years of teaching and/or research experience as Senior Resident/Demonstrator/Tutor/Lecturer in a recognized institution, after obtaining MD/MS.
• Super-Specialty: No experience needed if you hold a 3-year or 6-year DM/MCh degree.

Age Limit

• Professor and Associate Professor: Maximum 60 years
• Assistant Professor: Maximum 55 years
• Government retired persons (for re-employment): Up to 66 years
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/Departmental Candidates/Ex-Servicemen/PwD — as per Govt. of India/DoPT/Govt of NCT of Delhi rules

Salary

• Professor: Rs. 3,05,000 per month (Consolidated Pay)
• Associate Professor: Rs. 2,55,000 per month (Consolidated Pay)
• Assistant Professor: Rs. 1,95,000 per month (Consolidated Pay)
• No other allowances are payable over and above the consolidated salary.
• For retired government employees, the salary is last basic pay drawn minus pension plus applicable DA.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on interview only:

1. Google Form Submission: Fill out the application form on Google Forms before the deadline.
2. Interview: Tentatively scheduled for the last week of April 2026. Detailed interview schedule will be shared on the hospital website.
3. Merit List: A merit list and wait list of selected candidates will be published on rgssh.delhi.gov.in and health.delhi.gov.in.
4. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must pass a physical fitness test from the hospital's medical board before joining.
5. Police Verification: You must submit a police verification copy within 1 month of joining.

No candidate will be allowed to appear in the interview without filling the Google Form.

Candidates currently working in Govt. Hospitals/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies must bring a "No Objection Certificate" and "Experience Certificate" from their employer.
