RITES Assistant Manager (Finance) Recruitment 2026 - 11 Posts

Rail India Technical and Economic Service Limited (RITES), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, is looking for qualified Chartered Accountants and Cost Accountants to fill 11 Assistant Manager (Finance) positions. RITES is headquartered in Gurgaon, Haryana, and is a premier multi-disciplinary consultancy in transport, infrastructure, and related technologies. 2 posts are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) on a horizontal basis, carried forward from unfilled vacancies advertised in 2025. Selected candidates will be posted anywhere in India or abroad as per company requirements.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You need to be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (CMA/ICWA) from a recognised institute.
  • Experience: You must have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in any of the following areas: Banking, GST or Income Tax, Accounts Preparation, Audit, Tendering Processes, or Bill Passing.
  • University Degree: Your degree must be recognised by a concerned regulatory body in India, from a university incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature, or a Deemed University under the UGC Act, 1956.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 32 years as on 27 April 2026 (the last date of application).
  • SC/ST: 5 years relaxation (up to 37 years)
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation (up to 35 years)
  • PwBD: 10 years relaxation (in addition to category relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates)
  • RITES Employees: Regular and contract employees who meet the qualifications get 5 years relaxation over the upper age limit.
  • J&K Domicile / Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation as per extant Government orders.

Salary

  • Pay scale: Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 1,40,000 per month
  • Approximate CTC at minimum of scale: Rs. 16.01 Lakhs per annum
  • Pay is fixed at the minimum of the scale. Candidates from Government Departments or PSUs may get pay protection as per company policy.
  • You will also get DA, Fixed/Variable Allowances, Performance Related Pay, Medical Facilities, HRA/Lease Accommodation, and an attractive superannuation package (PF, Gratuity, Post Retirement Medical Scheme).
  • Other benefits include Leaves, Maternity/Paternity Leave, Medical Facility, Group Insurance, and Leave Encashment.

Note: On appointment/absorption in RITES, services switch from 8th CPC CDA pay scales to 4th PRC IDA pay scales.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 3 stages with the following weightage:

  1. Written Test (60% weightage): There will be 125 objective-type (MCQ) questions, each carrying 1 mark, for a total of 125 marks. You will get 2.5 hours (150 minutes) to complete it. No negative marking applies. Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD. PwBD candidates get an extra 50 minutes as compensatory time. The test will be held at 6 cities: Delhi/Gurgaon, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Guwahati.
  2. Document Scrutiny and Verification: Based on written test results, shortlisted candidates will have their documents verified by RITES.
  3. Interview (40% weightage): Candidates will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:6 to the number of vacancies. Interview includes Technical & Professional Proficiency (30%) and Personality, Communication & Competency (10%). Minimum qualifying marks in interview: 60% for UR/EWS, 50% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD.

Final selection is based on the overall merit order combining written test and interview scores. There is no minimum qualifying marks required in the aggregate. Appointment is subject to medical fitness as per RITES rules. The initial appointment is on probation for 1 year.

Responsibilities

  • Handle financial accounting, budgeting, and preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements
  • Manage GST compliance, income tax returns, TDS/TCS provisions, and other taxation matters
  • Prepare and review accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements as per Indian Accounting Standards
  • Assist in internal and statutory audit processes and coordinate with CAG auditors
  • Process vendor bills, manage trade payables and receivables, and handle billing for engineering contracts
  • Support treasury operations including bank reconciliation, foreign exchange transactions, and fund management
  • Monitor procurement processes, GeM transactions, and ensure compliance with GOI guidelines
  • Prepare MIS reports, financial analyses, and support management decision-making on budgets and investments
