RITES Group General Manager (HR) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Rail India Technical and Economic Service Limited (RITES), a NavRatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, is looking for an experienced HR professional for the post of Group General Manager (HR). RITES is a premier multi-disciplinary consultancy organization in the fields of transport, infrastructure and related technologies. This is a re-advertised vacancy (VC No. 193-R3/24), so candidates who applied earlier need to apply fresh. Selection will be done entirely through an interview with no written exam.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You need an MBA, PGDBA, PGDBM, PGDM, PGDHRM or equivalent degree with specialization in HR, Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, Labour Welfare, or MHROD from a recognized university.
  • Marks Required: UR/EWS candidates need first class or minimum 60% marks. SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates applying against reserved posts need minimum 50% marks.
  • Experience: You must have at least 23 years of post-qualification experience in Human Resources covering areas like Talent Acquisition, Retention and Management, Skill Development, Competency and Leadership Development, Performance Management, HR Branding, Employee Relations, Compliance with Labour Laws, HR Policies, Manpower Planning, Training and Development, Welfare, General Administration, Benchmarking, and Discipline Rules.
  • For Govt/PSU Candidates: You should have a total experience of 23 years and should have worked for at least 2 years in IDA pay scale of Rs. 1,00,000 - 2,60,000 or CDA pay scale in Level 13A of 7th CPC.
  • For Private Sector Candidates: You should have a total experience of 23 years and an annual CTC of at least Rs. 44.32 LPA on the last date of application.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 53 years as on the last date of application (27 April 2026).
  • SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
  • OBC-NCL: 3 years relaxation
  • Ex-Servicemen: Number of years of military service rendered + 3 years
  • J&K Domicile: 5 years relaxation
  • PwBD: 10 years additional relaxation (over and above category relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL)
  • RITES Employees: 5 years relaxation above the upper age limit

Salary

  • Pay Scale: Rs. 1,20,000 to Rs. 2,80,000 per month (IDA Pay Scale)
  • Approximate CTC: Rs. 54.64 Lacs per annum (at minimum of pay scale)
  • You will also get DA, Fixed/Variable Allowances, Performance Related Pay, HRA or Lease Accommodation, Medical Facilities, and Group Insurance.
  • Superannuation benefits include PF contribution, Gratuity as per Gratuity Act, and Post Retirement Medical Scheme.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done in 2 stages:

  1. Document Scrutiny: RITES will scrutinize all submitted documents and shortlist candidates for the interview. You will need to upload all supporting documents during the online application.
  2. Interview (100% weightage): The interview carries full marks with the following breakdown:
    • Technical and Professional Proficiency: 65%
    • Personality, Communication and Competency: 35%
    You need a minimum of 60% marks in the interview (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD against reserved posts) to be placed on the selection panel.

You can appear for the interview in either Hindi or English. The interview may be conducted from RITES regional offices as well.

  • Manage and oversee the entire HR function of the organization at the senior management level
  • Handle talent acquisition, employee retention strategies, and workforce planning across departments
  • Develop and implement HR policies, manpower planning frameworks, and performance management systems
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, and government directives
  • Manage employee relations, grievance redressal, and disciplinary proceedings
  • Lead training and development programs, competency building, and leadership development initiatives
  • Oversee welfare schemes, employee benefits administration, and HR branding activities

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification
