Sainik School Jhansi is a residential school run by Sainik Schools Society under the Ministry of Defence, located in Shankargarh, Bhagwantpura, Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh). The school has invited applications for 7 vacancies across 6 different teaching and academic roles including TGT Social Science, Art Master, Physical Education Teacher, Music Teacher, PTI-cum-Matron, and Lab Assistant Chemistry. Who Can Apply?

TGT Social Science (Contractual and Temporary)

• Qualification: Four-year integrated degree from an NCTE-recognised university with at least 50% marks in Social Science subjects (History, Geography, Economics, or Political Science), OR Bachelor's/Honours degree with at least 50% marks in concerned subjects plus B.Ed. with at least 50% marks from an NCTE-recognised institution.
• Alternative: Post-Graduation in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks plus three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. with at least 50% marks.
• CTET Required: You must have passed the Central Teachers Eligibility Test (Paper-II) conducted by CBSE.
• Language: You should be able to teach in both English and Hindi.

Art Master

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Drawing and Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Art, or Fine Arts with at least 50% marks. You must have studied Drawing and Painting as a main subject throughout your graduation.
• Additional: B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognised institution with at least 50% marks.

Physical Education Teacher

• Qualification: Four-year integrated course or Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Sports from an NCTE-recognised institution with at least 50% marks, OR Graduation plus B.P.Ed. with at least 50% marks each.

Music Teacher

• Qualification: Higher Secondary (12th pass) with a degree or diploma in Music from any recognised institution.

PTI-cum-Matron (Female Only)

• Qualification: Same as Physical Education Teacher. This post is open only to female candidates.

Lab Assistant Chemistry

• Qualification: Intermediate Science (12th with Science) or equivalent in Chemistry.

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 35 years old as on 10 April 2026 for all teaching posts (TGT, Art Master, Physical Education Teacher, Music Teacher, PTI-cum-Matron).
• For Lab Assistant Chemistry, you should be between 18 and 50 years old as on 10 April 2026.

Salary

• TGT Social Science, Art Master, Physical Education Teacher: Rs 70,942 per month (consolidated)
• Music Teacher, PTI-cum-Matron: Rs 46,136 per month (consolidated)
• Lab Assistant Chemistry: Rs 40,290 per month (consolidated)
• Contractual and temporary employees are not entitled to any other benefits beyond the consolidated salary.

Application Fee

• General / OBC: Rs 500
• SC / ST: Rs 250
• Payment Mode: Crossed Demand Draft (non-refundable) drawn in favour of Principal, Sainik School Jhansi, payable at SBI Bundelkhand University Branch, Jhansi (Branch Code 03808).
• Fee once deposited will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 3 stages:

1. Written Exam: Only shortlisted candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be called. You must bring all original documents on the day of the written exam.
2. Class Demonstration / Skill Test: Conducted after the written exam for applicable posts. This tests your actual teaching or practical skills.
3. Interview: Final round to assess your overall suitability for the role.

No TA/DA, boarding, lodging, or messing will be provided for attending any stage of the selection process.

2. Download the prescribed application form.
3. Fill in the application form in capital letters.
4. Attach self-attested copies of all marksheets, certificates, degrees, and diplomas from Class 10th onwards.
5. Attach two recent passport-size photographs (not older than 6 months).
6. Attach a self-addressed envelope with a postage stamp of Rs 55.
7. Prepare a crossed Demand Draft for the application fee.
8. Write "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF (post name)" on top of the envelope in capital letters.

10. Your application must reach the school by 5:00 PM on 10 April 2026. Late applications will be rejected.
