All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar, a premier medical institution established under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, is hiring 4 Field Investigators for an extramural funded research project titled "Development of EQ-5D-Y-5L value-set for India". This multi-state health research study covers six Indian states and focuses on measuring health-related quality of life in children and adolescents. The appointment is for 6 months, extendable based on performance and project funding. Who Can Apply?

  • Option 1: You need a Master's degree in Public Health, Social Science, or a related specialization from a recognized university.
  • Option 2: You need a Graduation in Science (B.Sc) from a recognized university along with 2 years of experience in community-based work.
  • Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates with a Social Work background. Prior experience in survey data collection is considered an asset.

Salary

  • Selected candidates will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 30,000 per month.
  • This is a contract position under a funded project. Benefits like Provident Fund, LTC, and Medical Claims are not applicable.

Selection Process

Selection will be through a single-stage process:

  1. Walk-in Interview: Candidates need to appear in person at AIIMS Bhubaneswar on 06 April 2026 (Monday) at 2:30 PM. The interview will be conducted in offline mode only.
  2. Document Verification: You must carry original documents along with two sets of photocopies for verification at the time of the interview.

The final decision rests with the selection committee, subject to approval by the Director, AIIMS Bhubaneswar.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face interviews with adult respondents from the general population using computer-assisted survey tools
  • Travel to assigned districts, villages, and urban blocks for household-level data collection
  • Follow the multi-stage sampling protocol and 30-cluster sampling approach for selecting households
  • Record and maintain accurate survey data on health-related quality of life indicators
  • Coordinate with the research team and report progress on field activities regularly
  • Handle respondent queries and ensure informed consent is obtained before each interview
  • Prepare daily field reports and submit completed survey forms to the principal investigator

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Master's in Public Health/Social Science OR B.Sc with 2 years community-based experience

Preferred Qualification

Social Work background, prior experience of survey data collection

Salary & Compensation

Pay Scale
