AIIMS Bilaspur Consultant (Accounts) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bilaspur is an autonomous Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The institute is looking to hire a retired government servant as a Consultant in the Accounts discipline on a contract basis. This is a walk-in-style offline application where you need to send your filled form by speed post or registered post. Who Can Apply?
Option 1 - Degree Route:
- Qualification: You must hold a Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution or university.
- Experience: You need a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience in Central Government, State Government, Government Autonomous Body, or PSU at Level 7 or above (7th CPC Pay Matrix) or equivalent levels under the 6th CPC.
Option 2 - SAS Route:
- Qualification: SAS (Subordinate Accounts Services / Finance & Accounts Services) qualification.
- Experience: At least 15 years of experience in Central Government, State Government, Government Autonomous Body, or PSU.
Additional Requirements:
- Computer Knowledge: Ability to use Internet and Computer System is mandatory.
- Status: You must be a retired government officer. Officers retired as punishment or with a criminal record are not eligible.
- Preference: Officers with working experience in Accounts section of Central Autonomous Bodies, Institutions, or Government Medical Colleges will get preference.
- Note: Officers retired from organisations not following Central pay matrix will have their status equated with Central pay scales for eligibility purposes.
Age Limit
- Your age must be below 64 years as on 07 April 2026.
- There is no minimum age requirement, but you must be a retired government officer.
Salary
- Salary is paid on a consolidated monthly basis.
- It is calculated as the difference between your last drawn salary and your basic pension at the time of retirement. The pension amount includes both fixed pension and any commuted portion.
- No increments and no Dearness Allowance (DA) will be given during the contract period.
- No House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be provided.
- A fixed Transport Allowance will be given for commuting, based on your retirement entitlements.
- TA/DA for official tours will be provided as per your retirement entitlements.
Selection Process
Selection will be done through shortlisting and assessment by a selection committee:
- Application Screening: Applications will be shortlisted based on your experience and qualification.
- Selection Committee Assessment: The committee will decide the selection method based on the number of applications received. You will be informed about the process accordingly.
- Document Verification: You must bring original certificates of age, qualification, and experience on the date of interview.
The competent authority reserves the right to select or reject any candidate or cancel the process without giving any reason.

Responsibilities
- Handle internal audit activities and prepare reports for the Institute and Ministry as per Government of India and AIIMS Bilaspur guidelines
- Manage classification of income and expenses, and maintain accurate financial accounts
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements and balance sheets on a regular basis
- Assist in preparation of stock verification reports and asset valuation
- Provide tax advice and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations
- Prepare and send financial reports to various government agencies as required
- Handle replies to audit queries from internal and external auditors
- Follow office working hours (9:15 AM to 5:15 PM on weekdays, 9:15 AM to 1:15 PM on Saturdays) and attend duty as directed
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Degree in relevant discipline with 8 years experience at Level 7+ (7th CPC) OR SAS qualification with 15 years experience. Retired government officers only.
Preferred Qualification
Working experience in Accounts section of Central Autonomous Bodies, Institutions, or Government Medical Colleges
Required Skills
Proficiency in Internet and Computer Systems, Financial accounting, Internal audit, Tax compliance, Bank reconciliation

40 - 63 years (as on 07 Apr 2026)
