The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, has released notification no. FL.No.155/A/ESICH-BKN/REC/ADMN/2023-1 dated 01-04-2026 for walk-in engagement of doctors at ESIC Hospital, Jaisalmer Road, Bikaner, Rajasthan-334001. All appointments are purely contractual for 1 year, extendable up to 3 years based on satisfactory work or until regular doctors join.

Who Can Apply?

For Senior Resident

• PG Degree or Diploma or DNB in the concerned specialty from a recognized university
• Valid registration with MCI / State Medical Council

For Specialist

• PG Degree or equivalent with 3 years post-PG experience in respective specialty from a recognized university, OR
• PG Diploma with 5 years post-PG experience in respective specialty from a recognized university
• Valid registration with MCI / State Medical Council

Age Limit

• Senior Resident: Upper age limit is 45 years (for 3-year engagement)
• Specialist: Age should not exceed 67 years on the date of interview
• Age calculated as on: Date of interview — 16 April 2026
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates as per government rules

Salary

• Senior Resident (3 Years): As per 7th CPC Pay Level 11 (basic pay starting at Rs. 67,700 per month)
• Full Time Specialist: Consolidated salary of Rs. 1,21,408 per month

Application Fee

• There is no application fee for this walk-in interview
• However, selected candidates for Specialist and Senior Resident posts need to submit a security deposit of Rs. 25,000 as Demand Draft in favour of 'ESI Fund Account No. 1' payable at Bikaner (refundable after contract completion and 'No Dues' certificate)
• Selected candidates for Senior Resident against GDMO post (44 days) need to submit a security deposit of Rs. 15,000

Selection Process

1. Document Verification: Your documents will be checked at the venue between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. No candidate reporting after 11:00 AM will be allowed
2. Walk-in Interview: You need to score minimum 50% marks in the interview to be selected
3. Medical Fitness: Final selection is subject to a medical fitness certificate from a competent authority

• Handle patient examination, diagnosis, and treatment in your assigned specialty department
• Perform floor duty in the emergency department and concerned department as directed by the Medical Superintendent
• Attend emergency duties and call duties, including on Sundays and gazetted holidays as assigned
• Examine all categories of patients including preliminary assessment apart from your own specialty cases
• Maintain accurate patient records, case histories, and treatment documentation
• Follow all clinical protocols, rules, and regulations adopted by ESIC
• Assist in medical procedures, surgeries, and other clinical activities within your department
• Work under the supervision of the Medical Superintendent and concerned HOD
