All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur (Rajasthan) is an autonomous institute of national importance under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY). It works under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. This recruitment drive (Advt. No. Admn/Faculty/03/2026-AIIMS.JDH, dated 01 April 2026) invites online applications from Indian Nationals and OCI Cardholders for filling 24 Assistant Professor vacancies across various medical departments. Note for Trauma and Emergency: The UR post is reserved for Orthopaedics, EWS for Burns and Plastic Surgery, and ST for CTVS.

Who Can Apply?

For General Disciplines (like General Medicine, General Surgery, Psychiatry, etc.)

• MBBS - A medical qualification in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
• MD/MS or a recognized equivalent postgraduate qualification in the relevant discipline
• Experience: 3 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution after getting your MD/MS degree

For Super-Specialty Disciplines (like Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, etc.)

• MBBS as above
• MD/MS or equivalent in the relevant discipline
• DM (for medical super-specialties) or M.Ch (for surgical super-specialties) in the relevant discipline - 2 years/3 years/5 years/6 years recognized course
• Experience: 1 year of teaching/research experience after DM/M.Ch (2 years or 5 years course after MBBS). No experience needed if you hold a 3-year or 6-year post-MBBS DM/M.Ch degree

DNB Equivalence

If you hold a DNB in broad specialties or super-specialty, you must produce documentary evidence about DNB equivalence with MD/MS/DM/M.Ch as per MCI notification dated 31.10.2018.

Note: SC/ST candidates get a 1-year relaxation in the essential teaching/research experience as per DoP&T rules.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 50 years as on the last date of application (07 April 2026)
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation (up to 55 years)
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation (up to 53 years)
• PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability): 10 years relaxation (up to 60 years)
• Government Servants: 5 years relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen: 5 years relaxation

Note: No age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for unreserved (UR) vacancies.

Salary

• Consolidated salary: Rs. 1,42,506 per month
• This is a lump sum consolidated amount - no separate allowances
• The amount is all-inclusive and subject to tax deduction at source and statutory deductions
• Leave: 30 days leave per calendar year on cumulative basis
• Private practice of any kind is strictly prohibited during the contract period

Selection Process

1. Short-listing: Based on your bio-data and application, the Selection Committee may short-list candidates for interview
2. Interview: Short-listed candidates will be called for interview at the New Admin Building, AIIMS Jodhpur. You must bring all original documents as proof of details in your application
3. Document Verification: Original documents will be verified at the time of interview

• Assist in research projects and publish findings in recognized medical journals

• Participate in national seminars and conferences as per entitlement
