All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur has announced a walk-in interview for 10 Junior Resident (Non-Academic) posts in the Department of Trauma & Emergency. This is an 89-day appointment under the Government of India Residency Scheme. If you hold an MBBS degree with completed internship and are 30 years or younger, you can appear for the walk-in interview on 02 April 2026. The monthly pay is Rs. 56,100 at Level-10 of the 7th CPC, along with NPA and other allowances.

AIIMS Raipur, located in Chhattisgarh, is one of India's premier medical institutes established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. The institute is currently looking to fill 10 Junior Resident positions in its Trauma & Emergency department on a short-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh MBBS graduates to gain hands-on clinical experience at a leading government hospital.

Note: EWS posts are not carried forward or considered as backlog vacancies. If EWS seats remain unfilled, other category candidates may be provisionally allowed to apply, subject to the condition that they will be treated as UR candidates only if the EWS seat is otherwise not filled.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You must have passed MBBS (or an equivalent degree recognized by the National Medical Commission).
• Your internship must be completed — candidates still undergoing internship are not eligible.
• Only those medical graduates who completed their internship on or after 01 April 2024 up to the date of the walk-in interview will be considered.

Registration

• DMC / NMC / State Medical Council registration is mandatory before joining, if selected.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 30 years
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-servicemen candidates is applicable as per Government of India norms.

Salary

• Monthly Pay: Rs. 56,100 per month (Level-10, Cell No. 01 as per 7th Central Pay Commission)
• Allowances: Usual allowances including Non-Practising Allowance (NPA) as admissible to Junior Residents

Selection Process

1. Walk-in Interview: You need to appear in person at the designated venue on 02 April 2026. There is no written exam for this recruitment. Selection is based on merit determined through the interview and your academic performance.
2. Document Verification: Your original certificates and documents will be verified at the time of the walk-in interview itself. Make sure you carry all originals along with one set of self-attested photocopies.

6. Candidates arriving after 11:30 AM will not be permitted to attend the interview.

• Handle emergency patients and provide first-line medical care in the Trauma & Emergency department under the supervision of senior doctors.
• Assist senior residents and consultants in clinical procedures, surgeries, and patient management.
• Keep detailed patient records, maintain case histories, and update medical charts accurately.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, administer prescribed medications, and report any critical changes to the attending physician.
• Work in rotating shifts including night duties to ensure round-the-clock patient care coverage.
• Follow hospital protocols for infection control, biomedical waste management, and patient safety standards.
• Participate in academic activities including case presentations, departmental meetings, and continuing medical education sessions.
