CGDA is hiring 14 Young Professionals (YPs) on a contract basis at its Headquarters in Palam, Delhi Cantonment. If you hold an MBA, LLB, M.Tech, PhD (data analytics), or CA/CIA/CISA qualification and have at least 2 years of work experience, you can apply by email. The last date to apply is 08 May 2026. Age limit is up to 32 years. The monthly pay is Rs. 80,000 (all inclusive).
Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) Young Professionals Recruitment 2026 - 14 Posts
The office of the Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA), under the Ministry of Defence, is looking to engage 14 Young Professionals (YPs) on a contract basis for one year, extendable up to two years based on performance. CGDA manages the internal audit and pay and accounts functions of the Indian Armed Forces and is headquartered at Ulan Batar Road, Palam, Delhi Cantonment. This is a knowledge-intensive engagement suited for post-graduates, data professionals, legal graduates, and finance experts who want hands-on experience in defence financial management.

Who Can Apply?
Educational Qualifications
- MBA posts: Master of Business Administration from a recognised university
- Law posts: Bachelor of Law (LLB) from a recognised university
- Data Analytics posts: M. Tech or PhD with a focus on data analytics
- Finance / Audit posts: Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification
Other Requirements
- Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience is required at the time of application
- Desired Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in project planning, monitoring and execution; good written and verbal communication; ability to draft reports and official correspondence; IT skills including data analysis and visualization; ability to work in multidisciplinary environments
- You must sign a Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement if selected
- Police verification will be done after selection
Age Limit
- Maximum age: 32 years as on 08 March 2026
- No minimum age has been specified beyond the work experience requirement of 2 years
Salary
- Fixed monthly pay: Rs. 80,000 (all inclusive)
- TA/DA: Admissible equivalent to AAO (Assistant Accounts Officer) of the department for official travel — no TA/DA for attending interviews or non-bonafide duty
- No accommodation, travel, phone, or medical insurance is provided
- Income Tax (TDS) will be deducted as applicable under the Income Tax Rules
- This engagement does not constitute a regular government appointment

Selection Process
Selection will be done in 2 stages based on a total of 100 marks:
- Stage 1 — Document Review (Max 40 marks):
- Experience: 2-3 years = 10 marks; 4-6 years = 15 marks; Above 7 years = 20 marks
- Qualification: Graduation = 10 marks; Post Graduation = 15 marks; PhD = 20 marks
- Stage 2 — Interview (Max 60 marks): Up to 10 candidates will be called for interview per YP vacancy. A panel of 3 persons conducts the interview, each awarding up to 20 marks. Final marks = sum of all 3 panelists' scores.
The date and time of interview will be shared with shortlisted candidates only. Final selection is based on total marks from both stages.

Responsibilities
- Assist in policy analysis, research, and preparation of reports for CGDA leadership
- Handle data analysis and visualization tasks to support defence accounts decision-making
- Draft official correspondence, presentations, and documentation as assigned
- Monitor project progress and coordinate across departments and technical partners
- Support internal audit, financial review, and compliance activities within CGDA
- Maintain confidentiality of all official information under the laws of secrecy
- Work in a multidisciplinary environment and contribute to organizational efficiency goals

MBA / LLB / M.Tech / PhD (data analytics) / CA / CIA / CISA
Preferred Qualification
PhD or Post Graduation with relevant work experience

Exam Pattern
There is no written exam. Selection is done through document review and interview, based on a total of 100 marks.
Stage 1: Document Review (Max 40 marks)
- Experience:
- 2-3 years: 10 marks
- 4-6 years: 15 marks
- Above 7 years: 20 marks
- Qualifications:
- Graduation: 10 marks
- Post Graduation: 15 marks
- PhD: 20 marks
Stage 2: Interview (Max 60 marks)
Up to 10 candidates per vacancy will be called for interview. A panel of 3 members conducts the interview, each awarding up to 20 marks. Final marks = total of all three panelists' scores.
