Who Can Apply?
For MTS, Library Attendant, Medical Attendant (Level-1):
- You need to have passed 10th Class (Matriculation) from a recognized board
- For Library Attendant: Certificate in Library Science is also needed
For LDC, Driver (Level-2):
- You need 12th Class pass from a recognized board
- For LDC: Typing speed of 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi on computer
- For Driver: Valid driving license for light and heavy motor vehicles, plus knowledge of motor mechanism
For UDC, Stenographer, Library Assistant (Level-4):
- You need a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university
- For Stenographer: Shorthand speed of 80 WPM in English or Hindi
- For Library Assistant: Bachelor's in Library Science or equivalent
For Technical Assistant (Level-5):
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (Computer Science for Computer Lab, Science for Education Lab)
For Assistant, Guest House Manager, Junior Engineer, Personal Assistant, Professional Assistant (Level-6):
- Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university with relevant experience
- For Junior Engineer: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil/Electrical Engineering
- For Professional Assistant: Master's in Library Science
For Section Officer, Nursing Officer (Level-7):
- Section Officer: Bachelor's Degree with relevant administrative experience
- Nursing Officer: B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution and registration with State/Indian Nursing Council
For Assistant Registrar, System Analyst (Level-10):
- Master's Degree with 55% marks or equivalent from a recognized university
- System Analyst: M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Science or IT with relevant experience
For Registrar (Level-14):
- Master's Degree with 55% marks and at least 15 years of experience in educational administration

Selection Process
The selection process varies by post and has 2 to 4 stages:
- Written Test (Objective Type - Paper I): 100 questions for 100 marks in 90 minutes. Covers subjects like Higher Education Administration, Language Skills (Hindi and English), Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. Qualifying marks: 40%. Negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
- Written Test (Descriptive Type - Paper II): 100 marks in 90 minutes. Covers noting, drafting, essay writing, letter writing, and administrative knowledge. Qualifying marks: 50%. Only papers of candidates who qualify the objective test are evaluated.
- Skill Test: 50 marks in 60 minutes (for posts like Assistant, UDC, LDC, Section Officer). Includes typing test, noting and drafting, and computer proficiency. This is a qualifying test only — marks are not counted for final merit.
- Interview: 100 marks (for posts like Assistant Registrar, System Analyst, Section Officer, Registrar). Candidates called at a maximum ratio of 1:15.
Note: The exam may be conducted in OMR or CBT mode. Answers must be written in either Hindi or English only.

Exam Pattern
The written exam has two papers — an Objective Test (Paper I) and a Descriptive Test (Paper II). The exam pattern varies slightly by post, but the general structure is as follows:
Paper I — Objective Test (MCQ)
You will get 100 questions for 100 marks in 90 minutes (1.5 hours).
- Higher Education Administration / Institution Knowledge: 20-40 questions
- Language Skills (Hindi and English): 15-25 questions
- Quantitative Aptitude: 15-25 questions
- General Awareness: 15-20 questions
- General Intelligence and Reasoning: 15-20 questions
Qualifying marks: 40% of total marks.
Negative marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.

Paper II — Descriptive Test

- Computer Proficiency and IT Skills: 20 marks (MS Office, Excel, PPT, e-Office)
Qualifying marks: 50% in each component. Skill test marks are not counted for final merit.
For LDC: Typing test at 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi.
