District Health & Family Welfare Samiti (DHFWS), Bankura under the National Health Mission (NHM), Government of West Bengal, has announced recruitment for 16 positions across 9 different posts. These are contractual positions under various health programmes including RKSK, NUHM, DEIC, XV Finance Commission Health Grant (XV FC HG), and DQAU. Who Can Apply?

For Medical Officer (XV FC HG) - Rs. 60,000/month:

• Qualification: MBBS from an MCI-recognised institute with 1-year compulsory internship
• Registration: Must be registered under West Bengal Medical Council

For District Consultant - Quality Monitoring (DQAU) - Rs. 35,000/month:

• Qualification: Degree in Statistics with good academic record from a reputed university
• Preferred: Specialisation in Biostatistics would be an added advantage. Previous work experience in Health or Hospital would be preferred

For Psychologist (DEIC) - Rs. 28,000/month:

• Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from a recognised university
• Experience: Minimum 1 completed year of work experience in infant and paediatric assessment

For Staff Nurse - NUHM & XV FC HG (Rs. 25,000/month):

• Qualification: GNM or B.Sc Nursing
• Registration: WBNC (West Bengal Nursing Council) Registration
• Must have proficiency in local language

For Pharmacist (NUHM) - Rs. 22,000/month:

• Qualification: Two-year Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) - Allopathic, recognised by Government of West Bengal
• Registration: Registered as "A" category pharmacist under West Bengal Pharmacy Council
• Must have proficiency in Bengali and efficiency in MS Office and Internet

For Counsellor - RKSK & XV FC HG (Rs. 20,000/month):

• Qualification: Graduation in Social Science from a recognised institution
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication skills, MS-Office knowledge, fluency in local language
• Experience: Two years of working experience in Health Sector or Social Sector
• Preferred: Master's Degree in Social Science, and 1 year experience in counselling services at health sector
• Note: Counsellor (RKSK) is open to female candidates only

For NRC Attendant (Child Health-NRC) - Rs. 5,000/month:

• Qualification: HS Passed (Higher Secondary)
• Preference given to local candidates
• Only female candidates can apply

General Requirements for All Posts:

• You must be a permanent resident of West Bengal

Age Limit

• Counsellor (RKSK & XV FC HG): 20 to 40 years
• NRC Attendant: 20 to 40 years
• Staff Nurse (NUHM & XV FC HG): 21 to 40 years
• Psychologist: 21 to 40 years
• Pharmacist: 20 to 40 years
• Medical Officer: Up to 62 years (as on 01 January 2026)
• District Consultant: 21 to 40 years
• Age relaxation for reserved candidates as per Government of West Bengal norms
• Existing employees applying for the same position get 5 years extra age relaxation

Salary

• Medical Officer: Rs. 60,000 per month (consolidated)
• District Consultant (Quality Monitoring): Rs. 35,000 per month (consolidated, as per addendum)
• Psychologist: Rs. 28,000 per month (consolidated)
• Staff Nurse (NUHM) & Staff Nurse Polyclinic (XV FC HG): Rs. 25,000 per month (consolidated)
• Pharmacist: Rs. 22,000 per month (consolidated)
• Counsellor (RKSK & XV FC HG): Rs. 20,000 per month (consolidated)
• NRC Attendant: Rs. 5,000 per month (consolidated)
• All salaries are consolidated monthly remuneration on contractual basis

Selection Process

The selection method varies depending on the post you are applying for:

For Counsellor (RKSK & XV FC HG):

1. Proportionate Marking: Class X (10 marks), Class XII (10 marks), Graduation (10 marks), Post Graduation (10 marks)
2. Post Qualification Experience: 10 marks
3. Written Test: 50 marks

For Staff Nurse (NUHM & XV FC HG):

1. Basic Qualification Marks: 100 marks (based on percentage of marks in the final nursing examination)

For Psychologist (DEIC):

1. Class XII: 10 marks
2. Bachelor's Degree in Psychology: 30 marks
3. Higher Qualification: 10 marks
4. Experience: 5 marks per year (maximum 5 marks)
5. Written Test: 30 marks
6. Interview: 15 marks

For Pharmacist (NUHM):

1. Academic Marks: 85 marks (D.Pharma: 65, B.Pharma: 75, M.Pharma: 85 - proportionate marking)
2. Computer Test: 15 marks (qualifying marks: minimum 50%)

For Medical Officer (XV FC HG):

1. Document Screening
2. Academic Score: Educational Qualification (90 marks) - MBBS: 80 marks, PG Degree: 10 marks or PG Diploma: 5 marks
3. Experience: 10 marks (2 marks per completed year, maximum 5 years)

For District Consultant (Quality Monitoring):

1. Written Examination
2. Computer Skill Test
3. Interview

• Handle patient care, counselling, or health monitoring duties as assigned to your specific post and programme
• Maintain accurate records of patients, medicine stocks, and daily health activities at the assigned health centre
• Work closely with the CMOH office, block health teams, and community health workers to deliver healthcare services
• Follow all NHM programme guidelines and reporting protocols for your respective health programme (RKSK, NUHM, XV FC HG, DEIC, or DQAU)
• Assist in health camps, immunisation drives, and awareness programmes in the community
• Prepare and submit periodic reports on programme performance to the district health office
• Coordinate with local bodies and community organisations for better health service delivery in Bankura district
